on my way to Palm Springs, I was going thru 3 other cities, but didn't have hotels confirmed. It was more of a “book as I go” situation.

 

In those situations, it doesn’t always make sense to book hotels ahead of time. I may travel differently from some other escorts. I don’t fly to cities, therefore I don’t book accommodations days and weeks ahead of time. I generally advertise about a week or 2 in advance, and even then I may not even have specific dates. I only put specific dates once I get there or shortly before. And even those a subject to change. I don’t like to travel play by play, I prefer to have a bit more flexibility. At the same time, that may also come with a little bit of uncertainty.

 

I recently had that play out in full effect: I was traveling around the 4th of July weekend, and was planning to stay in 1 city until about the Friday or Saturday after the 4th. But shit came up (my car broke down, and some lady backed into my friend’s new BMW i3 in the store parking lot...which has an all glass tailgate...nuff said), and I ended up staying in that city thru the middle of the next week.

 

I had to change all of my travel dates, as I was going to be traveling by ground thru 4 cities before reaching my main destination, the 5th City. I did miss a couple appointments out of it. It wouldn’t make sense to book a hotel for all 5 of those cities in succinct fashion.

I think all of this is valid @Mocha, but you have to extend the same flexibility to your clients too. You say you're aware that your last minute planning brings uncertainty, yet you complain about lack of confirmations, which in itself is a paradox. If you don't plan ahead you don't allow your clients to do so either.

As far as I'm concerned, if an appointment was never confirmed it was never scheduled. A few or many text exchanges do not a confirmation make. You said that you had to miss some appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, which to me is all understandable. Shit happens. However, from all your posts that I've read, I feel the one part that you're missing is that shit happens to EVERYONE, not just to you.

Please read the above words as if they were written by a client, and see how they would make you feel or react? Would you understand or condemn their excuses or explanations?

Hopefully this can help you alter your perception a bit and lessen the overall frustration with your business.

Meryl Streep has been pretty amazing. I don't know if those are her natural teeth or if they gave her something to give her a slight overbite. It gives her a slightly evil, conniving edge. Nicole Kidman has been great also. I have never really liked her as an actress. I am not sure why. However, the last few years I have begun to see how really good she is.

Meryl's part is just such a juicy role, and of course she nails every moment and then some. As far as this season goes, they're all good but Laura Dern for whatever reason really stands out to me. Nicole was so good in season one, that while she's great I find it will be hard for her to outshine her own work from the previous season. But I'm with you @TruthBTold I wasn't a big fan of her initially but she's turned me around a while back with "The Hours" and some other great roles.

That's interesting...maybe he changed his practice? Did you book in advance or last minute?

It was really last minute and he was very accommodating. Being last minute I really didn't expect much but the treatment I got was simply out of this world. Definitely knocked my socks off and a whole lot of other things.

Daniel is a real deal. Simply amazing. He surpassed all of my expectations and then some. Truly an unreal experience. PM for details.

By the way, even if you communicate through their horrendous email system or as they call it a Rentmen platform, which nobody does, there's only a short window to submit the review otherwise they reject it on the bases that too long has passed. And if you pass this criteria, there's a yet another rule, that I can't remember right now, but that I heard about from someone on the forum.

It would be nice if Rentmen had a page with all these rules so that one could at least be aware of all the details of their deranged methodology.

There are previous threads that discuss his past, this is not the place to rehash them. This thread is about his current availability in New York state.

I strongly disagree with this. I don't know or can't remember what he went to jail for, but if it was for assaulting or robbing a client it should be mentioned here. I'm a strong believer in second chances and that people can change. However if there's violence in the past at least one can go into an experience with him being aware of that fact. If Derek is truly reformed I hope he is upfront about his past mistakes. I think not mentioning it here is a wrong way to go about it. He's turned a new leaf and with his current and future actions he can rebuild his reputation and turn his past truly into... well just the past.

@Mocha It does seem that you are very unhappy and frustrated with this business but as @maninsoma wisely stated this might be a wrong way to go about it. You seem to be confusing inquires with confirmed bookings. Expecting that every text will result in a booking is setting yourself up for a failure. Think about how many times you went into a store and ended up not buying anything. You probably even tried a few or a plethora of shirts on and still left empty handed. I know I had, in spite of having every intention of buying something. And to clarify I'm not saying that clients should try you and stiff you at the end, but rather that the time a sales person spends in a store with a customer is somewhat equivalent to the time you might spend texting with someone. I think politeness and positive attitude are the key, but not a guarantee, for success.

I can only speak from my point of view but when I send a text the only thing that means is that I'm interested and have an intention of booking an appointment. I'm not for endless texting, but I do need to see how I vibe with the guy. My actions or willingness to book at that point are entirely dependent on his responses. If I sense that he's too pushy, not listening or not responding to a question but rather pushing his agenda I will politely thank him for his time and move on. And again I'm not for endless texting, but a 5-10 minute text exchange needs to happen for both of us to figure out if we're compatible.

I get a feeling that what pisses you off the most is the lack of explanation to why they stop texting you. I blame this on various apps, and the common saying "no response is a response". It's quite rude. However this happens on both ends of the equation. There have been numerous times that my initial inquires have been unanswered. There have been times when after a few text exchanges the guy stopped responding. Maybe he was unavailable at the time I suggested. Maybe he wasn't into one of my requests. Maybe he got another booking. Whatever his "maybe" may be I simply don't and won't ever know and I have to take it as a "no response is a response", no matter how much I dislike and disagree with that phrase. I know it's tough and as this is your business you probably get this a lot more than us clients, and when your livelihood depends on it, it's that much more frustrating. However it comes with the territory. Naming names and exposing contacts won't make it stop. The only thing it might certainly do is alienate the clients who might have an actual intent of hiring you.

The entire season eight was so devoid of any and every quality that "Game of Thrones" has become known for. It's as if some imposters who've never done a show took reign and literarily burned it to the ground. It's just very puzzling that it could be this off.

Disappointed with the storyline, fans have raised their voice against the story-line, screenplay and the rushed episodes moving towards a crummy ending.

 

Over 250,000 fans signed a petition against the storyline and the signatures are still pouring in.

According to CNBC, an online petition started on Thursday, went from 15000 signatures to 250,000 in less than 24 hours and reached 304,940 signatures at 6:30 a.m. ET.

It's been growing rapidly and it currently sits at just under 700K signatures.

Of course there won't be a redo but I'm glad the fans are speaking out. It's bad to the point where you wonder who approved this? I hope it makes it past a million.

I really wouldn't take it personally. Maybe he was a bit too blunt and could have come up with a different explanation, but I do appreciate his honesty over him booking you and then giving you a half ass service. Some guys say upfront that they won't book more than a client a day. They know their body and what they can and cannot do. I find that respectable. And even if he's not into you whatever way he says it is doing you a favor and saving you time and money that you would have wasted otherwise.

If you're really into him try again at another time just to be sure if it was really bad timing or if you're really not a match. On the other hand in a market as great as Chicago I'm pretty sure you won't have problems finding someone who will knock your socks off.

Season 8 has been mostly disappointing. These last 6 episodes could have easily been 10 with more attention to character development and less focus on pyrotechnics. It's not where we got with characters and story, but rather how and the execution of these ideas is very much one of the worst in TV history. For having all the money and time in the world to wrap up a show that had some of the highest ratings ever, and a great critical acclaim too, this is all a second grade bullshit. It will definitely go down in history as a monumental fuck up.

I just saw this and came to the boards to see if anyone's posted anything. Of course @Benjamin_Nicholas has beat me to it.

It does look like it has a lot of potential. Her make up and posture are spot on from the little snippets that they show.

And even though her voice is not in the same ball park as Judy's I think it will serve the story better and be more genuine than if they had used Judy's recordings.
