I'm sure it can be frustrating that people expect you to be available immediately when there is no indication that you work that way. However, there is an "available now" status on both Rentmen and Rentmasseur. I don't know what percentage of advertisers are actually available now ("now" meaning within perhaps the next half hour or hour by my standards) when they choose that status, but I know some guys are, indeed, available at short notice and others have never even responded to my inquiry. I guess I look at it like this: I used to work temporary office jobs in the late 1980s. Part of the gig was that I got ready for work and then called a few different agencies to see if they had any work for me that day. Sometimes the answer was no but frequently the answer was yes, and I'd get the job information from them and head out immediately. In other words, I was "available now" to go to work. As a client, I frequently am "available now" to head to someone's place when I contact him but I typically expect that guys aren't really available immediately. It's certainly reasonable to me that someone who says he's available now to actually need an hour or two to get ready. Or maybe even longer if he's already received other bookings for that day and just hasn't updated his ad status. From what I've read here, though, lots of providers do not have a steady stream of clients all day every day so I assume that at least some guys are at home online, already showered and basically ready to work relatively soon because they are in business and want to make money.

He's got a hot body but nothing else about that ad would inspire me to hire him. I don't know why he chose the name Depay, but it doesn't create a good image.

I don't see any equivalency to being okay with hiring escorts. Paying someone for sex is illegal, but apart from that it does not necessarily have a negative impact on one's health. Consuming enough alcohol to reach a blood alcohol level of greater than .15 is unhealthy physically and can certainly lead that person to put themselves in danger they wouldn't ordinarily accept if they were sober. And, again, I am referring to people who have been around the block enough times to have first hand experience with this and thus should be able to gauge how much is too much for themselves. It takes a lot of alcohol to reach the point where you don't know what you're doing. Young people acting recklessly is not excusable if they end up hurting someone else, but it is understandable given lack of life experience.

I doubt it was the weed. More than likely simply excess alcohol consumption. This is coming from someone who used to abuse both alcohol and marijuana. Marijuana isn't going to make you lose your memory of what happened. You won't lose your balance. The most likely adverse effect for some people is paranoia. Alcohol, on the other hand, is quite debilitating when someone consumes too much. One can definitely pass out and/or fall over. After excessive consumption, one will continue to appear functional (by that I mean they are still conscious) but seriously drunk but the next day they won't remember anything. Someone abuses alcohol to that extent is lucky if they have someone who looks out for them, making sure they get home without getting into some sort of accident. I still drink on occasion, but very little. I can count on one hand the number of times I have smoked pot over the past 20 years. Not excusing excessive "partying" by those who are young, but at least I can understand the desire to explore different substances when one is a young adult and exploring a lot of other things as well. Someone who is middle aged who gets so drunk that he cannot remember the next day what happened is just pathetic.

The only way to know what a provider offers ahead of time, I think, is to communicate. Some guys do post nude photos and provide an erotic experience. Other guys post nude photos and have high rates but don't provide the experience one might expect. If you don't want to gamble, then ask in advance what you can expect.

Two of my favorites: The Flame in Ann Arbor. I used to go there regularly in the early 1980s.
