Not to be too "pollyana" about it. But.....If you love your lover and you think you might be able at some point to forgive him for this flaw........then you stay. Besides, racism is learned behavior. It (theoretically) can be unlearned. Perhaps he will become more educated. Maybe you can help him along. You can't change him. You might be able to help him learn something new. Won't be easy.
