I once gave a large “tip” after a massage went way beyond what was expected and the masseur seemed offended. He handed all the excess back to me and said rather coldly “I don’t do that for money.”
So I just firmly believe people outside the room should withhold comment and do what works best for them and the people they see. I see people who charge $200 and I pay $200, even though things may go well beyond standard service. But I see them multiple times a month and we have a nice relationship., such as it is. 
I’m no Adonis just getting it because. I’m pushing 60. But I am a regular. I show up on time and clean. I don’t push for anything the masseur doesn’t want to give and understand some days will be different from others. We always laugh a lot. There is never any drama. And I’m generally flexible on time - I don’t demand 6pm on Friday. I cheerfully take a slot that might otherwise be empty for them. I also don’t want to be thought of as a rich guy throwing money around just because I can to get exactly what I want. That’s offensive  
It works me and the folks I see and nothing regarding payment needs to be justified to anyone else. So tip away. I would never discourage that. But understand that there may be some other things just as important or perhaps more important in the transaction and don’t judge what other people do.

I went out on a limb and visited on Sunday morning and had a truly wonderful 60 min massage with Matt. The space is beautiful, In an unsuspecting office building but the entire 7th floor is clearly individual beauty/wellness spaces and very luxurious. The room itself is very calming with aromatherapy and a very nice heated bed. Truly spa level compared to the Mens spas we are used to.
The bodywork was quite good also. Very relaxing long strokes with good medium pressure. It took about 10 minutes but we really calibrated to each other nicely and he provided the perfect experience. I left very relaxed and very satisfied. I will be back. I wanted to gatekeep so I didn’t report right away, but I want them to do well and stay open so go and do the thing boys!

I had a good massages at The Grande and The Cabanas.   I actually preferred The Grande.     I still laugh…I showed up to Cabanas with a 115lb twink and the primarily bear guests at the resort looked like they wanted to devour him 😂. I think it’s good I had a rented house 😅

100% on this! I travel frequently for work and my company has no problem paying for an Uber - and I still opt for the LIRR AirTrain option. It’s always a better experience and no risk of traffic on the Van Wyck, which is pretty much a given.
 
If you do that, right near Penn Station (where the LIRR arrives - don’t take a Grand Central train) you have 27 Men’s Spa in walking distance. Search this site for recs on who to request. You can also hike it down to Energy on 23rd. Again search this site for recs on who to request. 
 
If you do go to Grand Central vs. Penn Station, there’s Noble Men’s Spa nearby. Search for recs on this site. It is more expensive, though, so might not be the best budget option.

I have been to TWS multiple times and have experience with many of their therapists.
while I agree with much of your response, your statement, “especially if there are extras involved, you should tip them even more.” The tips you recommended based on time of appointment don’t reflect an appropriate tip for basic service with no extras, at least based on the starting price. A 50% tip is not the usual amount for most other massage places. 
 
The issue lies in the starting price. The owner or therapists set their starting price very low compared to normal RM rates, and they are taking a risk setting that price so low, that they’re likely going to get customers who see a deal and want to jump on it or attract patrons who normally can’t afford a massage that we all enjoy. That’s a risk that they are taking and they should understand that and be okay with it. If they are not, and they get offended when tips are on the low end, they should increase their prices where they won’t be offended if they get a smaller tip. 
 
With that said, I’ve also had many massages with providers on RM, and understand the value that I get when going to TWS. 
I’ve had 2 90-min massages with therapist where no extras were involved, and I tipped $50. 
 
I’ve had many more “special” 90-Min massages with therapists and I tipped $100 or more. Especially since the therapists at TWS actually give a better therapeutic massages than most on RM or MF. While many aren’t formally trained, they do learn quickly and get markedly better with time. Even at a $200 all-in price point, I think most of can agree that is a steal. 
 
I’ll be heading over there tomorrow and am looking forward to another great massage. 

Is it just me, or is it weird when people start asking for your profile, pictures, stats, and probably astrological sign too? Like, buddy, we’re setting up a massage, not swiping right on Tinder. And when they say, “Let’s meet somewhere first”… yeah, that’s not a massage—that’s a plot twist. Total red flag. I’m looking for oil n back-rub, not wine n dine starting with flowers.
