Most of it didn't look or feel like a Tim Burton movie to me at all. He's my favorite director, so I've really been looking forward to this one. I hated it at first, but it started to get better. It's definitely one of my least favorites though, right up there (down there?) with Mars Attacks and Planet of the Apes.

I haven’t met him yet, but I’m seeing Jay Austin in a few weeks. Judging by his responses via text, he seems like he’ll be a lot of fun. I’ll update whether he’s an enthusiastic yah, a horrid nay... or somewhere between the two. I’m thinking a enthusiastic yah, imho.

Hi gang. Good news and bad news. Good news is I will definitely be coming to PS this year. Plans were uncertain until just recently. If you're even thinking about hiring Vin, I have two words for you: DO IT! And if you're not thinking about hiring him, you should be.

I first met him at the 2017 PS forum weekend, and was immediately impressed by how sweet and down-to-earth he is. And that body! I saw him again at last year's forum weekend, was smitten all over again, and finally got together with him in Palm Springs last summer. The time I spent with him was nothing short of amazing, everything I could have hoped for and more. We've kept in touch since then, and in fact, he texted me the other day out of the blue and said that he'd been in Palm Springs the day before, and had thought of me. Needless to say, I was swooning. He definitely has that effect!

We decided to splurge this year, and go for one of the more expensive 3rd floor rooms, above the office.

The fact that it's the same room Draven Navarro was in last year is completely irrelevant, but a nice bonus.

Have you ever stayed at CC? I stayed there last month for a long weekend. Never again. Friendly staff but the room was a dump. The shower/tub in the bathroom was essentially unusable.

We've been staying there for a few years, and it's definitely on the decline, unfortunately. They're not keeping the place up like they should, and it shows, not just in the rooms but pretty much everywhere. The jets on one side of the hot tub haven't been working for at least a year. Frankly, the only reason we still stay there is because it's so cheap. We were supposed to stay there last weekend, for New Year's, but we got a call from one of the staff on Christmas morning that he was cancelling our reservation, and refunding our deposit. There was extensive damage in the room we had booked, that wouldn't be fixed in time, and he said they didn't have another room to put us in. That certainly hasn't endeared the place to us.
