I absolutely love ALDI.  Yes, advantage is mostly the price, but one extra perk is that the checkout people always seem pleasant. 

I'm addicted to their Winking Owl wine - certainly not the best wine I've ever had, but at $2.99/bottle it's a steal; compares favorably with $15-$2 wines.

I've found their produce and their milk doesn't last as long as from other stores.  

I use it as my main grocery store but mostly for staples; they don't carry slightly esoteric items (bread flour, for example). 

They have knockoff Girl Scout cookies and their peanut butter patties are excellent.  They use a chocolate rather than a vanilla cookie inside.

I'm with you. I was always a dog person but when we adopted 8 years ago it changed my life. She arrived Sunday and was wary and barking at me, by Tuesday she was sleeping in my (now "our") bed. 

When I hire now I do outcall because she doesn't like being shut out of the bedroom.

Thanks!  I see it, I prefer "condensed mode".  That shows a preview when you hover over the topic name.

I've seen him a few times but the last time (maybe 5 years ago?) he was less open to more playful activities than he'd previously been. 

how does one set 'preview' mode?  I haven't seen that. 

in these days of working from home, appearance often isn't an option unless they turn on their camera (most don't where I work) or have a profile picture.  And with names from another country it's often difficult.  Back in the early 2000's a new hire was upset that she'd been referred to as "he" in an email announcing new team members. 

And funny aside, when I first met my new neighbors I thought they were a lesbian couple.  Turns out it's a straight couple, the guy is very androgynous looking, with a gender-ambiguous name. 

all you're doing is letting them know how you prefer to be addressed.

One of my favorites from years ago showed up once in his work clothes, slacks and a dress shirt, maybe a tie. He mentioned having a particularly rough day at work so I offered to give him a shoulder rub, and slowly unbuttoned his shirt while doing that, then moved on to undoing his pants.  It was pretty hot.
