I am having a great time here. Check my report on the sauna above. It is just my first week, my only doubt is whether I will love Clube 11 after a month. Everything depends on the turn around of boys. It looks like the standard price here is 100R for a full service programa. I am offering 150 and the boys are treating me like a Queen. I am surprised all the boys I talked to (about 10) are openly versatile. Back in 2017, when I visited for the first time, that was not the case. And when you meet Bahianos in Rio, they are always only top (at the beginning). I am gladly impressed by this change. The sauna is celebrating its 20th anniversary week, a big party is planned for this Saturday.
This coming Sunday is the local gay pride parade, from Praia do Porto da Barra down to Ondinas. I will probably be there if the crowd is not overwhelming (I do not like to be squeezed). I guess I could keep my distance from the most heavy crowded sections of the parade. If I feel safe pulling out my camera (I think I will), I will get nice pictures. There is an after parade party at Zoom, so I will probably go there for the first time.
The city and the people are fantastic. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. However, I do not think I would like to live here. I hate walking up and down all these hills. Today I took a day off to rest, my right knee is killing me (I had a surgery 10yeas ago). Besides that, poverty is too ubiquitous and too many buildings, often beautiful ones, are falling in pieces.
I went to the Museu de Arte Moderna de Bahía and saw some very appealing artwork, but everything would look so much better with more investment. After my visit there, I attempted to walk south to get to the Museu de Arte, but my knee forced me to call an Uber to go back home to put some ice on it without reaching my intended destination. Before taking the Uber, I walk through a path between the highway and the favela you see bellow in the picture. There were homeless people living on the path, they could not even afford the favela. They smelled horrible and looked like corpses, malnutrition and heavy drugs. It made me very sad, so much misery in such a beautiful natural scenery.

JayCeeKy got a reaction from NYXboy in Is this really Alex Volkov
I sent Mr. Volkov an IM in Rentmen yesterday inquiring about his availability and rates in Columbus. He sent a reply back stating that I was required to "Say hello first" before he would answer my questions. It reminded me of the scene in A Few Good Men when Colonel Nathan Jessup told Lt. Danny Kaffee that he would give him a copy of Santiago's transfer orders but "You have to ask me nicely."
I will pass on Mr. Volkov.

I'm not sure what type of threats or extortion you're referring to (or if you mean it figuratively), but if it's the threat of exposure regarding sexual activity I would encourage you (or anyone in similar circumstances) to refer your extortionist to a case in 2003 in which the head basketball coach at Louisville, Rick Pitino, after a brief ("15 seconds" - which made Pitino the butt of numerous jokes), consensual sexual encounter with a woman at a local restaurant. This female extortionist was convicted of blackmail and spent SEVEN YEARS in a federal prison - and two years probation afterwards. I would remind any wannabe extortionist that most cases are easy to convict (save ALL communications!) and often carry lengthy prison time. And, you are correct that extortionists never go away - Rick gave this woman money for six years before he finally went to the authorities. An extortionist who has been paid cannot be trusted to hold up his end of the bargain - they'll just keep coming back. NEVER, EVER PAY A BLACKMAILER or EXTORTIONIST A NICKEL !!!

JayCeeKy got a reaction from JustScott in CLIENTS: Burner Phone vs Primary Cell vs Google Voice vs ???
I've used the "Burner" APP (I'm referring to the APP, not a Burner phone) for years with complete satisfaction. What I like best is that you can change your number every month - and can choose whatever area code you want - this is good if you're visiting somewhere and want to use the local area code (it probably doesn't matter but I'm thinking that local escorts might be more responsive to someone in their own area code?).
I pay per year which currently is $90. Yes, you must give them your current mobile phone number (they must have your phone number so that Burner can use your phone to complete calls) - but there's never been a privacy issue in the 5 or 6 years I've been using Burner. And, obviously, you must give them your name and address to pay for their services.
When you use the Burner number to call someone you dial the number and then you receive a screen message that says "HEADS UP - We'll hide your number by calling your Burner first." Then, your Burner will call (the number you're calling)" -- you have to choose "OK" - and then Burner will call the number. The person you call ONLY sees your Burner number on his screen.
If you receive a call on your Burner number, your screen will tell you that someone is calling your Burner number - and then you have to press "OK" to receive the call.
Hope this helps you decide. I like Burner and recommend it without reservations.

I am presently reading Albion's Seed, by David Hackett Fischer, a study of how the cultures of four different parts of the United States were permanently affected by the origins of the English colonists who settled there during the colonial period in American history. For example, the settlers who came to New England came mostly from East Anglia, while the settlers who came to Virginia came mostly from western and southern England, and each group left very different influences on the religious and political cultures of the two areas--even on their linguistic features--which persist to the present. It is a fascinating subject to me, but it is so meticulously documented that the text runs to almost a thousand pages, with innumerable footnotes, bibliographies, etc., often in tiny print, so the bulky paperback version is hard to handle..
