You’re not wrong. See what @jeezifonlysaid above. The 2nd date better be great or there won’t be a 3rd. I can’t begin to enumerate the number of providers I’ve seen in total but I CAN remember clearly the providers I’ve seen 3 times or more. They all brought something new, exciting and different to the table every single time. I’ve encountered far too many who, as you said, “phoned it in” the 2nd time around. This includes s*x workers AND massage providers.

If Prep were the only pill I had to take daily  I might feel differently. But at my age I have daily buffet of 5 pills all contained neatly in my pill caddy so, for me, that’s the best way to go. Meaning I’m less likely to miss a day. The physician at my last visit to the Men’s Health Clinic suggested the injectable. I’m glad it’s an option (the injectable). Thanks for the info, guys; I’m grateful for the exchange of ideas here. 

I have successfully hired from Grindr - once. Yes, I’ve encountered many a fraud so caution is the road to follow. Others here have said it - don’t send a deposit, ask them to cooperate with a quick video call, and meet in public first. (Have your scene at a hotel if at all possible.) I’ll agree that the legit guys hiring via Grindr tend to be more amateur than pro, but I got great value for my money. If you are going to hire from Grindr do your due diligence and proceed with caution.

The unknown has been made known. The rush of the first look, whiff, taste, touch, sound - has passed. 

Why not? He has nothing to lose. In my experience, some will say no and some will say yes. 

Holy shit, you got that right, man! The younger guys might be amazing to look at and might feel so good under my hand and on my tongue. But, yeah, with maturity comes wisdom and confidence and certain skills the young guys might not yet possess. Certainly less hang-ups about weight and appearance - for either of us - in my experience. As always, your mileage may vary.

Sometimes I’ve called off a meeting if the provider was 10 minutes late and had not bothered  to notify me, and sometimes I’ve waited over two hours if the provider kept in touch. 
What else I have scheduled that day, what other options I have, my mood, how many other people have  pissed me off that day, the phase of the moon, how horny I am, if I’ve seen the provider before, the list of factors influencing my decision goes on and on. 
But once I’ve decided not to see you, I stand firm in my decision, no matter what.
