I had a meet with Vince Rockland once…great guy, reasonable rate, lots of fun. I was quite regular with Chad Conners. I saw “Austin” aka Austin Ashley a few times, he did charge a bit more than normal and was an OK experience. Tommy Cruise was smoking hot, a handful of others.

And I don’t believe he does…

I’ll agree on independent spots having great fare and needing our support. However, I don’t necessarily see a meeting at Popeye’s as a red flag. Sometimes a Starbucks, or a simple Applebee’s, or Chili’s is the “sugar baby’s“ request, somewhere where they are comfortable for a first meet. I always make sure my friends from Seeking are 100% comfortable for that awkward first meeting.

@Unicorn since you live in Southern California like myself… you know Wine is always served at 99.9% of events. I’ve had people at in-home events not serve red wine, because of staining carpets and furniture. White wine can *always* be had.

The Air Quality Management District (AQMD) keeps a close eye on things here in SoCal. I am on their email list, so I know when we have “no burn“ days when wood cannot be burned. I have a neighbor that turns me in if I use my smoker, or even my BBQ on no burn days. I receive wildfire smoke alerts and other air quality alerts them them as well: The South Coast AQMD has issued a new air quality advisory. High Ozone Alert

@Unicorn We should add onto the “old enough to remember“ thread, remember when movies had proper intermission’s. Sound of music, Dr. Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia, and dozens more.
