Well in @sniper defense and to his point he clearly stated those earning under $50k, and you clearly state you earn over. I employ entry level workers at minimum wage and above (in SoCal). I’m having trouble recruiting employees because right now for the majority of this pool they are getting paid more on unemployment and stimulus than they would get working. I’m rewarding my current loyal and hard working employees with bonuses based on their hours worked to thank them for their extra effort during this pandemic.

Not an issue for me...often it’s even an attractive preference for me.

Ditto on appreciative neighbors. I had four sourdough boule(s) and two brioche out of the oven Sunday morning. Neighborhood is happy!

Always “underground” side deals. I used to know a guy who vetted young men for a famous Hollywood music producer. On occasion (rare) I would meet these young men first via the friend, to see if they could uphold their end of mutual benefit. Happened all too rare but was fun! Thinking back this was almost 20 years ago!

See #24 in the SBA FAQ here....lots of additional information as well.

I’ve been using ground turkey a lot recently....chili, meat loaf, “Joe’s Special” and it’s been surprisingly good ?? Only poor result was grilled “burgers” on the BBQ

Agree...and these are Union employees at these packing plants for the most part....not undocumented types. The risk is to the employees of course and not our food. Covid 19 hasn’t shown up as food borne. Yet...but it’s a tricky virus!

Ordered it!

Meat packing plants will re-open sooner than later. Disinfecting the plants is easy. Unions allowing new (Covid 19 tested!) workers in to work the disinfected production line another story.

Thank goodness for those that appreciate old meat. Note in my post that I was praising older artisan beef being raised to 3 to 4 years old humanely and nourished properly before slaughter and butcher. Some evidence of less methane gases from cows raised this way in addition to taste. today’s USA model of conveyor belt beef sent into feed lots results in 14 to 18 month old steer being put to market. Efficient, quick, not the best quality and not climate friendly.
-
We fellow carnivores will hunt it out! I use Crowd Cow another online source, they specialize In bringing small ranches into kind of a marketing co-op to sell. All artisan raised beef, not feed lot production line 18 month old beef.

Don’t add to the panic....I went to two stores yesterday and they were fully stocked with meat and poultry. Also thirds store...my local butcher was well stocked.

Couple of TZ posts here in the Television sub-forum https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/what-are-you-binge-watching.156687/post-1880507 -
I had a similar experience in Florence. But there was a small grocery across the street with an amazing selection, and one major and one minor open air market within walking distance. I loved the challenge of the tiny fit one-person-only kitchen!

My mom was an adequate but not creative cook at that point of my life....she became much better over the years! Friday menus: Tuna SOS Mac and Cheese Tuna casserole(s) many variety Campbell’s Tomato Soup and grilled cheese sandwiches My grandfather was a butcher, my father apprenticed under him until he was 25. From the family’s Mexican heritage we didn’t like fish a lot! Like you @Epigonos I’m carnivore to this day.

The Good Humor truck and its music, searching or begging for a nickel, the sound of bare feet or flip flops slapping across the sidewalk! Good times in SoCal! We also had the Helms bakery truck, @Epigonos I always wanted a cream puff! We also had a local vegetable truck too. One childhood home I lived in had milk (eggs/OJ/more) delivery from Adohr farms. The milkman would come right into our unlocked home, a polite knock on the door and he’d call out “Adohr!” And proceed to the fridge(s) and stock them up. Even ice cream sometimes - held with dry ice in his truck.

Required to abstain from meat/poultry, not “required” to eat fish. ?

Never that simple @Skip is it? ?

Good work! I poked around last night because I knew I’d seen him in another ad somewhere...but I gave up.

I would guess you get invited to the mythical “list” and not just added by request.

I’m bumping my own thread here, and once again I’ll mention “line of duty“. I got totally addicted to the show immediately, four seasons available on Amazon prime, I bought season 5 for I think $19 to finish binge watching all available episodes. Great British police drama, sub plots that roll over season to season. Multiple thumbs up ????

I’ll repeat with Alam Wernick when pandemic, his travel, and stars align ?

I ended up subscribing to this guys OnlyFans! Fun stuff there, was only like $7-8/month....worth a months subscription at least.
