  1. His name is spelled Afen.
  2. It’s more complicated than that. The article indicates most workers have no other experience than working in a meat plant. And low educational attainments. The town didn’t do itself any favours by not requiring Tyson’s to pay municipal taxes since it arrived in town. The local infrastructure or lack thereof would hardly attract any new employer.
  3. I read a comment in the obit that he died on the Pacific Coast Highway. That is a beautiful drive and one can be distracted by the beauty of the place. This is a reminder to keep one’s eyes on the road if that was the case. May he RIP.
  4. I can relate to that book. In 1979 I paid my first visit to California. Sam Francisco and spent 2 weeks during the summer. The next summer I spent a month in Southern California, 2 weeks in Laguna Beach. I met some of those beautiful young guys on the beach and in the Boom Boom Room where they danced the night away shirtless and in tight shorts. I also went back the following summer. Around that time we started hearing about a gay cancer. Which caused a great unease. Little were we aware of what was coming at us at 90 miles an hour.
  5. I think Gael is now based in Toronto. I met him several weeks ago in Montreal on a visit. Very nice guy. If we are talking about the same Gael. He is listed on RM there.
  6. I read today that Luigi has acquired a curated wardrobe to appear in court and that it has evolved from the turtleneck sweater and khakis look to the tailored expensive dark suits and open necked dress shirts. This on the advice of his lawyers who want him to project a wholesome non-threatening appearance that wilL influence future jurors in his case. And his eyebrows are plucked too.

When I was with Dante and his partner two summers ago, they were boyfriends I think becuz they worked and lived together. Maybe that’s no longer the case. I remember the boyfriend kissed me but Dante didn’t.

They don’t bb. That was a typo.
  9. I attended a boys school and in grade 7, the last year of elementary school, there were boys fully developed with pubic hair and balls freely hanging between their legs. There were others who were still prepubescent, hairless and balls that had not yet descended. We had a very enlightened teacher staff who explained to us we all would arrive at the same state but at different rates. This assurance was needed because we all showered together in a communal shower room and were naked in the locker room between gym classes and the rest of the day. Body awareness was very heightened at that age of transition from boyhood to manhood. All of this to say body image does not reflect calendar age at that period.
  10. Looks sorta young to me. He would need ID at the liquor store.
  11. Definitely those are troubled eyes.

I met with Dante a year ago with his partner in bb a threesome. Both were as advertised and reviews are accurate. I wouldn’t repeat as they were not into kissing.

I met Gael in Montreal a few weeks ago when I hired him as part of a threesome. He was great and was as advertised. A great kisser with lots of tongue of you like that, which I do. He’s also versatile.
  14. Of course you wouldn’t know my whole life story so to add a little more detail. I took an early retirement at 50 because I was in a position to not have to rely on a steady pay check. I sold my house and moved back to Montreal, my hometown. I bought a condo in the Gay Village and found a house in Miami to spend my winters. So that was my big change, like yours in a way but taken earlier. After five years I tired of the Miami situation so as I had inherited a house north of Montreal in the country I started spending more time there and got a dog. Another five years later I moved my principal residence to a small town in Ontario and sold the condo in Montreal. I got a second dog as I now had a house with a large lot. And so it went. The two dogs aged out eventually and I am now living alone with a quieter life but with trips to Toronto and Montreal to liven things up. But I belong to several volunteer organizations and stay busy that way on a regular basis. My health is good and I swim regularly at my club. When I hit my 80’s in a couple of years who knows what that will bring! I hope I can still see escorts regularly as I do now. In this forum I imagine I am one of the busier members in that regard. It costs a fortune but I have no-one to leave my money to as my siblings are all well off. So at this point I am content with things as they are.
  15. Saying I perfected my life is not the same as saying I am perfect. Far from it. But I achieved a life that I am content with so I do not make resolutions to try to improve things. Why make changes when I am happy with the status quo. Changes can be destabilizing especially when one is older as I am.
  16. I stopped making New Year’s resolutions after I perfected my life some years ago. Now I just try to stay on that track.
  17. I laughed at the open shallow pocket for your phone, which could easily slip out it would appear, and the zippered pocket for “your valuables”. For most people losing your phone would be a greater financial loss than a wallet with even a few hundred dollars in it and some credit cards, which could be cancelled.
  18. I thought it was Archie who had the nasty attitude and his onscreen son the enlightened sunshine attitude. Supported by his on screen wife, Archie’s screen daughter.

Two regulars and a newbie, for some added variety. It kept my weekend busy.

I am just back from a weekend in Toronto. I can attest to the fact there are lots of options and it is easy to make arrangements even relatively late. My impression was that the competition is strong. My three choices were all available at times I suggested. I didn’t have to settle for second or third choices.
  21. In my last year of law school we were required to take a one term course in accounting. That was to teach us how to read a balance sheet and income statement. That has helped me immeasurably in all sorts of situations including serving on a board of a non profit organization and handling the annual audit performed by an outside accounting firm.
  22. The brother who opted for surgery as I did unfortunately had the result that the cancer had spread from the prostate when it was removed. It had pierced the wall of the gland but doctors were uncertain how far it had gone. He rejected further treatment at that time for fear of becoming incontinent. When the cancer returned 9 years later he then had radiation and other treatment. Today he seems ok but suffers incontinence. The older brother has had his cancer monitored for 20 years but it hasn’t progressed. Whether he has biopsy or MRI procedures I don’t know. He never raises it. I didn’t find the one biopsy I had that troublesome. Of course I’m used to having things poke around in my rear but the needle was a little uncomfortable. They took at least a dozen samples and it started to wear on me a bit. I recall they used a mild sedative but I was fully conscious.
  23. I didn’t go through my whole case history as I had related it years ago in this forum but of course many here now were not present then. To be brief, I was alerted to having a PSA test done from my oldest brother who had recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer after an elevated PSA led to a biopsy which confirmed cancer, I went and had the PSA which showed an elevated level from a test I had from 4 years earlier. A subsequent biopsy confirmed cancer in the mid range of 7 on the Gleason scale. My specialist recommended either surgery or radiation. My family doctor supported this and I opted for surgery. A year later my other brother was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He was more advanced and higher on the Gleason so he had surgery. It also came back 9 years later and he had to have radiation and other therapy. My oldest brother opted for watchful as he was lower on the Gleason scale, in the 6 range as I recall. He has had to monitor it ever since . On the other hand I haven’t seen a doctor about this for 10 years now and am cancer free for almost 20 years.
  24. I don’t think his work will stand the test of time. But then I will not be around to see if that bears out.
  25. I’m too busy to be lonely. In fact I value my alone time to reflect on things, think about new ideas or projects to undertake and generally enjoy my surroundings. I’ve just published a book. I do a lot of volunteer work in areas that interest me. I hold down one part time volunteer job of 1 day a week and another paid position where I show up as needed. I have another volunteer position which requires me to oversee an institution and attend monthly board meetings which I chair. I don’t go out in the evenings like I used to and sexual interactions are with providers on a semi regular monthly basis. Maybe I’ll slow down in my 80s which are fast approaching.
