According to Facebook, LeBoy has reopened with new owners, new decor, and many new rules trying to keep customers safe during the pandemic. Has anyone been there yet?

Has Broward county relaxed it's restrictions on bars? Will other bars (LeBoy and Boardwalk) be opening soon or is it just because Johnson's is now serving food?

I have always enjoyed NBC's Miguel Almaguer when he walks down the street in jeans in one of his news segments. He has quite a bulge! I searched the internet for a pic, but came up empty. Maybe someone else can find a good one.

Thanks for the informative report! I still plan to spend my winter in Ft. Lauderdale, and hope some bars are open by then. I hope you give LeBoy another chance. From what I see on FB, the new owners are renovating the inside quite a bit. I just hope the get a chance to open before they go bankrupt.

I saw that too. The notice seemed to imply they would be serving food. Is that the reason they get to open, or do all bars that don't serve food get to open then as well?

I agree with pdxleo. Quite a difference between the two venues. The big difference being that at Boxers you can get in on the action as opposed to just watching. And Boxers is still open. They post on FB on almost a daily basis. But which ever venue you choose, please report.

I certainly can sympathize. I'm still recouping from a crack rib from about a month ago. Every morning I started by taking several deep breaths to keep my lungs expanding as you mention in your post. That was the worst pain aside from actually getting out of bed.

I keep seeing posts on FB by The Corner Pocket that they are "open for business". They show bartenders wearing masks, etc., but there is no mention of dancers. Does anyone know if the dancers are back?

Yes! I have met several friends over the years, some in other cities and several in Chicago where we are still friends. I have also attended several of the Forum Gatherings in Chicago when they took place years ago. A great group of guys!

I just noticed a "now Hiring" post on FB. Apparently for all positions: dancers, bartenders, security, drag entertainers, etc. I hope Lee the bouncer who has been there since they were "Johnny's" will return.

I read about it on FB. The money they made went to the dancers, and I think they made about $3,000.

According to what I've seen on Facebook, there are some changes goin' on at LeBoy. Maybe some locals can verify or give new information. This is what I have seen: 1. The name has been changed from LeBoy Tonight to LeBoy FTL 2. The inside bar has been gutted and new fixtures are going in. 3. The patio has also been gutted and will be redone. In addition, the owners says he hopes to open next week. What does that really mean in FTL? In Chicago we have a very long way to go before any bars open. Thanks for any input.
