  1. Gooseberry pie! The tarter the better! And maybe a little vanilla ice cream on the side.
  2. I got back from Florida this morning. I went to LeBoy twice and have a few things to report. Apparently, of the two new owners who bought the place from Sean, one of them bailed almost immediately because business was so slow, leaving the other owner to fend for himself. (This information is from one of the dancers, so of course take it with a grain of salt.) For those of you who remember the bartenders Chris and Andy from the original Johnny's - they are still there!!! Also there from the original Johnny's is the bouncer Lee. (Always with a big smile!!) Yiannis is still there. He has been working out and has given up booze. He looks good. I'm not sure what his new position is. As far as physical changes go, they removed the small stage at one end of the bar and put in couches. I never saw anyone sitting in them. Parking is free, BUT on the two nights I was there, there was no parking attendant or valet parking. I drove around and around looking for a place and finally waited for someone coming out of the bar to move his car. Other guys were driving around as well and it looks like several gave up and drove off. I spent both nights entirely with a new dancer from Costa Rica named Fernando. Beautiful smile, intelligent, able to carry on a conversation, and hot! If anyone hears any news about the owners, please post.
  3. I find the same is true when ordering drinks. Some servers encourage you to order your meal at the same time as ordering a drink, and then the meal comes out before the cocktail. I always wait until drinks are served before ordering the entree.
  4. The fact that he pleaded and won his case in the state of Missouri is quite an achievement.
  5. Does anyone know if Andy is still bartending at LeBoy? I originally met him at Johnny's on Broward Ave. before Sean bought it and it became LeBoy. He has been a loyal employee and is a great guy!
  6. Bump. I just thought of another bartender that I hope will stay - Chris. Any word? Also, just saw an ad on FB saying they now had free parking. Any info on that?
  7. Thanks! Wondering if he will keep the same staff? Some of the guys have been there since it was Johnny's. Several of the bartenders like Andie, and of course Yannis! When I go back this winter I hope my old friends are still there. Especially Lee, the bouncer!!!
  8. Wow! If anyone has more information, please let us know.
  9. As of 9/24/19 there are 9 reviews posted on their Facebook site. The average rating at this time is 1.0 out of 5. The major complaints are: 1. The high cover charge - $15 2. The fact that you have to fill out forms in order to become a member before you can enter the bar. 3. The high price of drinks. The owner posted a reply saying that he sees the complaints and will try to rectify them in the future.
  10. Two days after the comment by Lara Spencer, 300 dancers staged a protest of sorts outside the studio by teaching a ballet class to the attendees. It was led by Travis Wall and Alex Wang, both of who had been contestants on So You Think You Can Dance. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/entertainment/music/hundreds-of-dancers-take-part-in-ballet-flash-mob-in-times-square-in-protest-at-us-tv-presenters-mocking-comments-about-prince-george/ar-AAGoTIb In addition, Nygel Lythgoe, a judge on SYTYCD had comments about Lara Spencer's ridicule of males taking ballet.
  11. Thanks for the update, Karl-G!!! That Champagne Room was always wasted space. And the new rates for lap dances is a plus.
  12. Wow! What is NEWTumblr? I haven't heard about it. I Googled it, and nothing came up. I actually went to: ...NEWTumblr.com and got an error message. ??
  13. Do you know if Taboo has a website? The one listed above doesn't exist anymore and I wasn't able to find one when Googling.
  14. I just discovered that Jake had been in a revival of Sunday in the Park with George. I didn't know he could sing (or perhaps he can't). Did you see that, Foxy?
  15. Keep us posted as to what happens when you see him again!
  16. From southern Illinois: ...can't tell shit from Shinola! ...Dumb as goose shit! ...Built like a brick shithouse!
  17. Enjoy your day!!
  18. This was a trend at LeBoy in Ft. Lauderdale over a year ago. The dancers would huddle together in a corner and play with their phones instead of the customers, but this year, when I was down for the winter, I saw none of that. In fact, I didn't see any dancer on the floor with his phone. Maybe a new policy is in effect? If so, it works!!
  19. Please let us know if they are back to "fully nude".
  20. Please let us know if they are back to "fully nude".
  21. Even though the "new" Boardwalk has been open for a while, the official Grand Opening is tonight, July 13th. They are actually offering free admission tonight which is a first!! They list "Full Menu" on their FB ad, so perhaps the outdoor cafe is open? If anyone attends, please give an update.
  22. I'm not sure if it is in the same place, but here is their new website: (with details and pictures) www.777complex.com What they don't say is if it will be with nude dancers or not.
  23. Wow BostonMan! That was great! I learned a lot! Thanks!
  24. Well, it may be another false alarm, but here goes: An ad popped up on my FaceBook last night regarding the reopening of Floppy Rooster at 777 NE 79th St. in Miami. They even posted an ad on Craigslist advertising for dancers. Only time will tell.
  25. After WilliamM's post about reviving a show, I remembered one of my favorites that I have never seen revived or even produced by any small theatres here in Chicago. https://www.ibdb.com/broadway-production/a-day-in-hollywood--a-night-in-the-ukraine-3950 I saw it on Broadway in the 80's and went back the next day to see it again to hear again the catchy lyrics in the first act. Has anyone else ever seen this show?
