Wow! I hadn't thought about that musical in years! After it closed on Broadway, it was popular in the dinner-theatre circuit here in Chicago, then disappeared.

I saw "The Cher Show" when it was in its early stages in Chicago. I wasn't impressed, but then read it was completely revamped before it open in NYC. I was hoping it would have been a success since the subject matter has such potential.

"The Music Man" is one of those musicals that I have seen so often, that I didn't think I could sit through it again; but the Goodman Theatre in Chicago is doing a big revival this summer and I am chomping at the bit again to see it. That might me that I will have to trek off to NYC to see it with Jackman as well.

Thanks for this Beethoven! Tammy Grime's distinct voice brings a smile to my face every time I hear her. And thanks for exposing this musical to me. I wasn't bitten by the "Musical Theatre Bug" until around 1970, so this show is new to me.

1. LeBoy in Ft. Lauderdale - I agree with Jake, Johnny's had a better vibe but I love LeBoy 2. Boxers N Briefs in Centreville, IL - I can't believe that you can find a place where the guys dance nude in southern IL. 3. The Corner Pocket in NOLA - The bar becomes the stage right in front of you!

I know this is an old tired topic, but is there anything new (stripper bar or just a gay bar) in Vegas anywhere near the strip? Taking a trip out there next week, and just had to give it another try. I baffles me to think this city is such a waste-land for gay establishments give Krave closed.

I just wanted to bump this up. No one has written anything about southern FL for over a month. I was there for a few months this winter and went mostly to LeBoy and had a great time each time I went. I like it when one gets to know a dancer and then on return trips you don't have to start again with all the small talk and he feels comfortable with you.

My favorite role of hers was in the original "Carnival" on Broadway with Jerry Orbach.

How about an update please? Does one still purchase a wrist band? To take a dancer to "the back", does the dancer set the price per song or does the house? Any other updated information would be appreciated.

I've got the same thing. Love it! I have mine project on the wall by my bed so I only have to open one eye to see the time. And I agree with Tarte - get red!

I was in Florida last week and went to Johnson's twice. I like dancers that are on the thinner side and I would prefer a dancer who is gay over one who is straight. (That is just my preference) On both nights I struck out on the thinner dancers - most guys were muscle builders well over two hundred pounds. And I think I struck out on the gay issue. I have a pretty good "gaydar" sense and I have a strong feeling almost all of the dancers were straight. The bar itself is very nice and I like the fast rotation of dancers! Everyone was friendly and accommodating but it just wasn't my "cup of tea".

When I was young in southern Illinois, no public schools had pools. So my parents sent me by bus to a nearby YMCA every Saturday morning. There we swan in the nude. Cold bus ride, cold locker rooms and cold water! You can imagine the shrinkage! But this is when I realized that I liked to look at other naked guys.

I am glad that mikefl81 posted something about Johnson's recently. I'm coming down to Ft. Lauderdale next week and went to their website and noticed that the last time they posted something was in April. I haven't seen anything on Instagram or Facebook from them in quite a while. (LeBoy posts on Instagram and Facebook on a daily basis). Maybe they don't need the publicity. My reason for checking their website was to see if they had dancers on Wednesday. Their weekly schedule lists dancers Thursday through Sunday, but only talks about drinks on Wednesday. Do anyone know?

Just wondering' ....... Since the Forum and Reviews were de-linked, has there been a drop off in the readers of the Forum? Many moons ago when I discovered Hooboy's site, the only way I found out about the Forum was through the Review site. How do new readers of the Reviews even know that this site exists? I have made several good friends from the Forum, and I hope this practice continues. So I guess it boils down to: "how do new readers discover this site?".

And I'm concerned about Johnson's. I used to get regular updates on Facebook and Instagram, but nothing lately. Are they still open?

Yes, all the guest house pools are hidden, otherwise you might as well stay at a Hilton. LOL. AS I remember, the Grand has two pools.

I had a similar situation to yours. A few years ago, having always stayed at the Worthington, I was unable to get a reservation so I chose The Grand Resort and Spa. It is only a few steps away from the Worthington and I was very pleased. The rooms are nice, there are two pools and they also serve a complimentary breakfast. No private rooms. Until a few months ago you could meander to the back bar with a dancer for a "private" dance out in the open, but that has come to and end.
