  1. Did the show start on time? One of the complaints on her last few tours was that some of the shows started well past the scheduled start time…like hours late. im happy with the setlist but I won’t get tickets until I know her timekeeping is better on this tour.

    PRAGUE

    Still too much...yuck.
  3. Let us know your thoughts once you see it. I’m curious if you enjoyed it. Thanks!
  4. I got the Pfizer COVID vaccine today. I had the flu shot about a week ago. I’m undecided on RSV.
  5. I just paid 3.09/gallon for regular gasoline yesterday at Costco in the Detroit area. That’s about 50 cents a gallon less than a week ago. Huge drop! Anyone else seeing much cheaper gas in their area? im kind of surprised it’s gone down so much so quickly especially given the upheaval in the Middle East.
  6. A 3.2% increase sounds roughly about right. Pretty much aligned with current inflation. Much less of an increase compared to this years increase…but inflation has dropped dramatically in the last 12 months.
  7. There’s something more behind the slap seen round the world. It was recently reported that,at some point, Chris Rock asked Jada out on a date and she declined. Will probably knew about this and it factored into his decision to slap Rock.
  8. I mostly take Jamie Dimon's comments with a grain of salt. He has been preaching an upcoming recession for three years now...and it still hasn't happened. Having said that, I do expect one more quarter point rate increase before the end of the year. That may be the end of the increases if inflation continues falling. Recent economic reports continue to be good. Last week's jobs report totally busted through expectations.
  9. Well I am a 70's/80's hard rock fan. Still going to shows of Aerosmith, Kiss, Alice Cooper, etc. Have seen every big rock act over the years: The Who, Zeppelin, Stones, Yes, Frampton, Seager, Van Halen, Iggy Pop, Jethro Tull, ACDC, Elton John...the list goes on and on. I also had a Punk Rock/New Wave phase in the 80's. That was huge fun. To be honest, I like almost every genre of music out there. Just saw Gaga in Vegas on Wednesday night: Superb! The only music I really don't like is country. Some crossover country rock or pop is tolerable...but the majority of core country music it is just crap. Most of the songs sound the same to me: Twang twang twang. My message to the OP is enjoy your rock and metal!!
  10. I watch the Stock live internet feed quite frequently. I’ve noticed two things different in the last month or so: 1. Many fewer women around…even on weekends. Have they instituted a new policy on females at the club? 2. DJ “I love my job” has not been around at all. There has been a new pretty ineffective DJ working for weeks now. Is the former DJ no longer working there?
  11. I was planning on a trip to London later this month partly to see Sunset Boulevard. I started to get concerned about the show when I was seeing reactions last week. To be sure, some people loved it. I don't, however, think the "minimalist" approach is the right way to go with a show like Sunset Boulevard. I also agree with Ali Gator that this show needs sets and costumes. I think I'll put off my trip to early 2024 when I can see Plaza Suite with Mathew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker (also at the Savoy).
  12. I have endless respect for the Senator. Like many of them (cough Strom Thurman cough), she stayed too long. But her overall legacy of service is admirable.
  13. Yup. Matt's post announcing a Miami Club is now gone from his FB page...so I guess it wasn't meant to be. I'm really looking forward to a club opening in Atlanta. I hope it's full nudity too!!
  14. Don't book your flight just yet as it seems everything has changed. According to Matt's facebook page, the idea for a Miami club has been scrapped. I'm pleased they are not planning to add another club in Florida. Next stop Atlanta! Matt's post said the following: After lots of debate, decided Miami wasn’t the right move at this time. Tampa isn’t there yet and Atlanta opens by the end of the year.
  15. search for Matt Colunga on Facebook and you will find his page where the announcement was made.
  16. I don't know about recently, but police raids on (straight) saunas in Brazil were frequently followed the next day by pictures in the paper of a bunch of middle-aged men in towels being arrested. The unspoken message to other saunas was to keep up their payment to local police officials in order to avoid the same fate. Not saying that is the same situation as we currently see in Texas...which is a sting.
  17. That would be awesome news... well except that it's in Florida.
  18. Man allegedly shoots, kills neighbor's son for trimming trees over property line | CNN WWW.CNN.COM A Volusia County, Florida, man was arrested early Monday morning after allegedly shooting and killing his neighbor’s 42-year-old son who had been trimming tree limbs along... Having a dispute with your neighbor over tree branch trimming? Just shoot and kill him if you're in Florida. Problem solved.
  19. Meanwhile, American consumers are feeling increasingly confident that inflation is being tamed despite higher gas prices. Despite rising gas prices, Americans feel more optimistic about inflation's future | CNN Business WWW.CNN.COM Rising gas prices haven’t taken their toll on the American consumer just yet, amid growing optimism that inflation is easing, according to the latest consumer sentiment survey...
  20. Hugh Jackman and wife of 27 years to separate. Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee Furness announce separation | CNN WWW.CNN.COM Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness have announced they are separating after 27 years of marriage.
  21. It isn't a nationwide strike at all the Big 3...yet. The UAW has chosen to strike at only three plants initially(one from each automaker) One each in Michigan, Ohio, and Missouri. More facilities will likely be added if negotiations continue without reaching an agreement.
  22. Is this true? I remember several years ago there were multiple reports in the news on a condition referred to as "vaper's lung". Hospitals and doctors were seeing young people coming in with compromised lung function due to vaping. Is that not an actual thing?
  23. Do we know that there is no risk in passing on harmful effects to others in the presence of vapers? Is this a proven fact? What is in the vapor that is released from a vape-pen?
  24. I'm somewhat confused by the thread title and then the whole context of this discussion. How can recreational vaping be considered "good" under any scenario?
