Yet another fine dining establishment is struggling
EZEtoGRU replied to samhexum's topic in The Lounge
Well I’ll offer a contrarian view on IHOP. I just finished having breakfast at one in Houston. First time I’ve been at an IHOP in probably 25 years. Yuck!! The service sucked. The food sucked. My ice water cup had obvious lipstick stains on the rim. I asked for fruit instead of hash browns. It arrived slimy like it had sat in the fridge for days. The fruit almost looked like it was fermenting. I might try IHOP again at a different location sometime, but based on today’s experience, I saw nothing redeeming about it. To me, it was an identical experience to eating at Denny’s. My favorite breakfast place is The Original Pancake House. The original one is in Portland OR. There are also locations in other places. The Original Pancake House WWW.ORIGINALPANCAKEHOUSE.COM America's finest Pancake House with over 100 franchises throughout the US, is a family oriented breakfast... -
The Ups and Downs of Airlines and Air Travel

I've never heard anybody put Iberia and luxury in the same sentence before. -
"Homeless" can mean different things according to varying situations. I was technically homeless for a year between 2015 and 2016. I was already retired and planning a year of heavy travel. I decided to give up my apartment in Houston, put everything in storage and then do lots of travel (cruises, vacations in Europe/South America, etc). I kept my P.O. Box in Houston and when I was in town (which was about 30% of the time), I stayed mostly at The Hilton Americas downtown (at the time, they had an excellent Hilton Members lounge with a great hot breakfast and also evening snacks + beer and cheap wine...all included in the room rate). I used to joke to friends at my local Houston watering hole that I was "premium homeless" and living at the Hilton. Back to reality and Kevin Spacey's situation. Obiously being on the street and truly homeless is awful. So far, Kevin is not in that situation. I didn't watch the above video, but I would be curious what his current net worth is. Has his money truly run out? I mean the guy had a huge/successful acting career that lasted decades. He had to have made tens (hundreds?) of millions of dollars during that time. Has he spent it all on legal fees and living large?

It seems odd that they would work together to create a joint website when they are competitors. I think there must be some deeper connections between the two. Did Stock owner Danny buy Campus?

Excellent Series! I wish Toronto had won…but they put up a valiant fight. Congrats to the Dodgers!!

I agree. I know a former Bulgarian escort in Madrid that had very fine and sensitive foreskin that would rip on occasion. He ended up getting circumsized and was much happier afterwards. There can be legit medical reasons to get circumsized. Otherwise, I do not recommend it.

I am rooting for the BJ's!! I don't dislike the Dodgers but I think a BJ's win of the World Series would piss off someone in DC...and that would be a very good thing.

Exact Sciences, the maker of Cologuard, has now come up with a general cancer test called Cancerguard. Anyone with any knowledge or opinion on this? Should we be getting this? Cancerguard™ Multi-Cancer Detection Test | Blood-Based Multi-Cancer Detection Test for Patients

I concur with this view. The monarchy shall become smaller...and King Charles wants it to become smaller. I believe William shares this view as well. The connections with the Commonwealth of Nations are on shaky ground as well. A royal visit to a Commonwealth country used to be a moment of celebration/adoration of the visiting royal family members. Parades...State dinners...people lining up to see them...British flags waving. Compare that to the William/Kate visit to Belize/Jamaica/Bahamas in 2022. The couple were greeted with protests/boos/anti-Commonwealth chants. Some events had to be cancelled due to the protests. William seemed stunned. It's a different world today than 50-100 years ago. The masses in the Commonwealth outside of the UK no longer adore nor automatically respect the royals. They see little connection between their two worlds. The Monarchy's role/impact outside of the UK will diminish substantially.

Nor have I seen those qualities in William. I find him quite dull actually. I agree that it would be hard to identify something he stands for...well...other than being anti-Harry/Meghan. Having said this, I don't see Harry ever becoming King. He has been vilified in the UK (unfairly in my view) and his popularity is unlikely to recover there.

You do know you don't have to use an exclamation point at the end of every sentence don't you?

Lukich Family Dining in Troy. Keep in mind that Chicken Paprikash is not on their normal menu. It was one of the specials of the day when I ordered it. Lukich Family Restaurant LUKICHDINING.COM -
14 vintage chicken recipes nobody seems to make anymore

I have a few comments about the list: * I agree that chicken cacciatore is still fairly common. I still see it on restaurant menus from time to time. * I'm not sure coq au vin was ever a commonly seen dish in the US homes. Whilst I love the dish personally, it seems it was more commonly seen in French restaurants or households that still had a strong connection with France. * Shocked not to see chicken paprikash on the list. That was on my mother's monthly rotation of dinners in our midwest household in the 60's/70's. After not seeing/having it for probably 40 years, I saw it on a menu in a Polish restaurant in Michigan about a year ago. I was delighted to see it and order it. I believe the dish has Eastern European origins. -
Thanks! Good to know.

Is alcohol served at Buffdaddy Red Eye events?

My experience at Cockbar on a weeknight about a year ago was exactly the same as yours. I considered the line-up to be very mediocre and all 4-5 dancers that night were too feminine for my taste. Like you, I opted to do no lapdances. However, I do acknowledge that it's not unusual for the hottest guys to work on weekends at strip bars so I do intend to return on a weekend to see if the slate of dancers is any better.

Former Stock/Campus dancer Tyson is advertising
EZEtoGRU replied to EZEtoGRU's topic in Male Strip Clubs
Thanks for that. I'll look out for him when I'm at Campus. -
He now goes by the name Tayson. I remember him as a dancer in Montreal pre-Covid. He started at Stock and eventually moved onto Campus and then back to Stock. I spent time in his company multiple times over several years. At the time, he had a great ass, big uncut cock, and a muscular body...plus he was very masculine. I haven't been to Montreal for a while...so I don't know if he is dancing again in addition to running an ad. Anyway, I should be back in Montreal sometime in the next 3-4 weeks so I'll keep an eye out for him whilst I'm there. The clubs will be packed. Coincidentally, I was was in Montreal during Pride weekend in 2019. I didn’t plan it that way (I avoid Pride celebrations like the plague), it just happened that was the weekend I had tickets to a concert I wanted to see. Anyway, I went to Stock Bar after the concert and it was crazy busy. Most people were totally drunk. One of them fell into my high top table and knocked it over and took my champagne bottle with it. Thankfully, management made the guy fork over $200 so I could get another bottle of champagne. I know some people love loud drunk party-like clubs. I prefer places on the quieter side. I generally only go to strip clubs on weeknights.

I saw this on Matt’s Facebook page. Interesting move. Now if they can just get a club opened in the US that allows full nudity like the old Swinging Richards.

Can venous insufficiency can lead to deep vein thrombosis? Just wondering for no particular reason🤔

I was at Cockbar in the summer of 2024 on a weeknight. As you say, only one side of the bar was open. I felt the dancer lineup was pretty weak and I opted to do no lapdances. Even so, I had fun chatting with the Mexican bartender in Spanish. I would definitely go back on a weekend to see what the line-up was like. Not sure I would return on a weeknight.

It might be a regional thing. Growing up in Michigan, Hash Browns were always the shredded kind not the other kind shown here (for me those would just be called diced or cubed breakfast potatoes).
