LukePhx got a reaction from RacerXLA in What's with the Spiderman outfits?
MANY people (clients, escorts, etc) have been, and will continue to be into cosplay!!
To me it's no different than any other role play including office scenarios, furries, leather, doctor/patient, etc!
To each there own, IMO

LukePhx reacted to savantsav in Is it a thing now to have sex with a baseball cap on?
It's mostly because of hair loss. A big side effect of the...supplements they take to get all those muscles is that it thins their hairline hence the cap 24/7.

I have had bottoms wear a baseball batter's helmet, concussion avoidance.

Wow, awesome! Thanks for doing the research & maths 😀
So I was indeed pretty spot on with my guess!

Apologies for being very late to the party, but I'm firmly in @LukePhx's corner here. In a 2019 article in Instinct magazine, Dallas Steele stated:
"After 23 years in TV news, I had found what I thought was a great main anchor job at the NBC/ABC combo station in Fort Myers, Florida....About one year into my three-year contract, the boss tells me they’ve been doing “focus group” research and that “people here, just don’t like you.” ...They paid me out the rest of 2011..."
Based on this quote, in 2011 he had 24 years in TV news, meaning he would have started in 1987.
In a 2018 post to the Fort Troff blog, he stated:
"I was on-air in radio at 17, and moved to TV news at 23. "
Doing the math...
1987 - 23 = 1964.
2026 - 1964 = 62.
He's 62 years old.

I reached out to him via Rentmasseur message and didn't reply. Then I tried text. He replied after a while saying the date I suggested didn't work because by then he'd be on his way to Dallas. I replied suggesting an earlier date and he never replied. A whole-ass day later he replied to my message on RM saying essentially the same as in his text response. Seems like just communicating with him is a pain in the ass. I don't think I'll try to contact him again next time he's in town.

I presume he still sees trusted longtime clients and the occasional new referral from same. He'll be 54 later this year, for those wondering.

I prefer non-professional photos for RM. I tend to question the accuracy of photos taken professionally.

LukePhx got a reaction from mikefl81 in RentMen Messenger - Keyword Search
So I'm currently in SF, and I'm really only seeing regulars. I KNOW I have messages on RM in the past from SF guys inquiring about my services.
It blows my mind that I can NOT search my inbox for keywords like "SF". I've reached out to RM Admin 3x about this; every time they claim to relay the suggestion to IT. Still hasn't been changed. I can/do search my texts, but not RM. I *can* search "SF" but the results are not conversations, but rather all users with SF in their username.
You'd think this would be a no brainer, and relatively easy to update/code.
I'm sure that clients would like this ability too. Especially those like me that have a very hard time remember names, but details like location, etc would make it very easy to find the message you're looking for.
Y'all agree?

If selfies don't work for you (and I think they don't work for a lot of people), go for it. A professional photographer or even a good amateur will put you at ease and get pics that let your physical presence but also some of your character show through. However, do NOT have those photographs retouched in any significant way. Even using AI, a retouched photo doesn't have the same impact.

Hey guys!
As clients, how do you feel about professional photos on our ads? Especially the main profile pic. I'm reaching out to a few Phoenix photographers for new pics for RM & my socials (and definitely open to suggestions for 📸!). I'm obviously not gonna take down my phone pics/videos but would like some new pro photos! I'm a novice photographer with about $10k in camera gear but am terrible at photographing myself, even with a remote shutter 🤣

Nothing wrong with them, but not a value add for me. Just a few natural pics, smiling, shirtless, natural and a humble attitude in the text is all I need to see.

LukePhx reacted to + Just Chuck in Why Do Prospective Clients Do This?
I think a lot of incidents of that are simply reading comprehension and website design.
A lot of clients are probably so focused on the photos that they simply don’t pay much attention to the rates section before they reach out. Having a background in safety and human error, I’ll say: people (even smart and well-read people) just don’t take in very much of what they read even when it’s clearly presented.
The mobile version of the site makes you actively click on “show rates” to even see if the masseur lists them or shows “ask” for every category.
When there’s a range of prices, I really like it when a masseur either states those or states that there are “add-ons” or “options” available.
-
LukePhx reacted to Mark_fl in Why Do Prospective Clients Do This?
Could be a few things:
1) They could be an idiot
2) they are trying to find out if there are some things not included in that published rate that might be on the table
3) Most providers sadly put "ask" which shouldn't even be an option, so they don't bother clicking on rates any more. If everyone put a rate there, this probably wouldn't happen.

LukePhx reacted to mike carey in Why Do Prospective Clients Do This?
It is wise not to overestimate the comprehension abilities of some potential clients. But most have the ability to read an advertisement and understand the details presented therein. Most.

LukePhx reacted to maninsoma in Rent Men
I generally think relying on Rentmen reviews makes no sense unless you can look at the individual reviewers and determine that they are legit. Two reviews is definitely too little to mean much of anything. That being said, I think the risk of a Rentmen ad being law enforcement entrapment is lower than the risk of it just being a con man trying to extract money from people without performing any service.

This guy isn’t charging $600/hr. One of the other providers listed in Omaha is. I’ve got a meeting setup with MidwestTwunk next week-definitely not $600/hr.
