Dude … here’s what I’m thinking. Your feelings are your feelings. I think anyone would be annoyed. If I read correctly you said he was visiting his family which is not too far from your location. Family can add an extra layer of complexity. He’s going to be 30 mins late, which, due to your travel situation, would shave 30 mins off your scheduled session. Unfortunately, you didn’t leave a lot of room for error. In my 61 years it has been my experience that if you don’t leave room for error, that is a set up for disappointment. I’d say enjoy the shortened session, get what’s yours, wish him a happy new year, then head home. Yeah, the room cost extra so chalk it up to an expensive lesson learned. Trite but true - no good deed goes unpunished. I’ve had a similar situation - more than once. (I am a slow learner.) Shake it off and move on. Similar experience.  This was maybe 3 years ago.  He seemed very spaced out.  Asked me the same question over and over again over the course of the hour, to the point of total absurdity.  I think it was, "so what did you do this weekend?", and he seemed to keep forgetting that it had just been asked and answered five minutes before.  Very weird.  Also, I remember him playing very dancey music that was very unconducive to relaxing.  I'm not saying it has to be the sound of a babbling brook, but when I get a massage I'm not trying to feel like I'm up in da clurb.

I‘d leave my watch, wallet at the hotel and just bring cash and your mobile phone.

I'm in Sao Paulo this week and visit Brazil several times per year. It's the first time I've been in Lagoa since it moved to the new location and I was really disappointed. The layout for me is a mess. I kept asking myself where is best to meet and see the men that I was there for and found myself just standing in one place after walking around for what seemed like hours. The area with the stage and bar was small and cramped and not so inviting. I really like the old location more for several reasons and I still have those great memories from my first visits to Brazil years ago which included the old sauna location here.
On this visit the suite I used (once) was fine although the TV and air-conditioning didn't work which irritated my guy more than me but it is what it was. We had a good session though and as I was leaving there were still boys arriving which seemed later than 117 and 202 in Rio where they seem to arrive earlier. I have regular guys I enjoy seeing here and that's why I haven't needed to go to Lagoa. But, it was a Saturday night and their Independence day and thought I'd give it a go. For me, 117 on a busy night is unmatched for top talent in a venue where I'm comfortable hanging out in several spots there. I can't comment on the shows as I bailed before they started on Saturday. After a day walking a lot in the city then hiking up and down stairs in lagoa and circling the sauna I really got my cardio in. Haha. I still think you can locate some really great guys online for 350-400/hour and after adding up the admission and likely beverages inhouse you're not at Lagoa to save money. I won't be back at Lagoa anytime soon but Sao Paulo will always be on my trip planning.

I agree with you. I just returned from Mexico City and I would have to say I was disappointed. The scene there is almost entirely dominate by sex clubs (Dallas, Paradise, Sexto Piso). The one supposed "European Style Sauna", So.Do.Me, apart from its hours ,is really indistinguishable form the sex clubs. These are all dominate by a much younger crowd that have no interest in someone of more "mature years." I can have much more success at my local Steamworks.
So I think I will be returning to Brazil next.

My apologies for the confusion regarding the "shows" comment. I had just read a couple comments from others on a different post regarding the 202 shows and realize it wasn't in your posting. 

As I said on some post recently, 117 is off the hook on Tuesday's lately. Great to see it back near its peak. 202 is not even near that level on any given night. For me, the shows regardless of who has the "best" one is meaningless. I'm there for other reasons 😉

I had an amazing time at 117 on Tuesday night August 12. The place was packed with boys that certainly outnumbered the clients. Tuesday truly is still the night to go as I have found over the last couple years that the weekends can be hit or miss for a variety of reasons it seems.
Muscle abounds at 117 for those that prefer their men muscular and built.  I stayed in Barra de Tjiuca this time for a change and as mentioned above for those that prefer the subway the Jardim Oceanico station is at the end of the line right there in Barra. There are a few good hotels on the beach near it and the line runs right into Copacabana for 202 and to Gloria station for 117 for very easy access.  Uber is so cheap and reliable though that it often makes sense to stick with it versus saving pennies on the subway.  I'll be back soon.

When I visited Manaus, back in 2005, I met an insanely hot young guy in one of the saunas. He was a Capoeira teacher and invited me to his school where I got to see him in action and it was amazing.
