i usually do a crispy skin duck breast and take advantage of the duck fat to crispy-cook thin potato slices.... but this year a special request for crispy pork belly with a sweet-spicy thai chili sauce.
 
when it's 8 degrees outside in NYC it is nice to be at home!

Done and dusted, it's coming up to midday on 1 Jan 18. NYE was a lamb roast with scalloped potatoes and vegetables, a nice shiraz and then sit and watch the NYE cricket game from Adelaide on the TV. I hear rainbow colours featured on the Sydney Harbour Bridge fireworks.

I would avoid him like the plague. Back in February, I set up an appointment with him and we confirmed everything. I got there on time, and he wasn't there. I called him and it sounded like he was out with someone. He told that he was going to be back in a bit. I waited for a long time on the street in front of the building (don't remember how long), and he didn't show up. Later on, Paul Mekas (another Bel-Ami star who had a rentmen ad at the time) walked out of the apartment building. I recognized him and he told me that Vadim wasn't there. Paul told me he was free if I wanted. At first I said no and left. Later on, I thought, why not? I looked up Paul's number on his rentmen ad and texted him and we met. He was the worst escort I've ever been with, no competition. Vadim didn't show up until I was getting ready to leave, nearly two hours after our scheduled meeting.
 
I learned a lesson that night: never hire a Bel-Ami model ever! I knew before this meeting that Bel-Ami models had a bad reputation, but I didn't realize that meeting one could be a total shitshow.
 
Hire at your own risk, but I would honestly look for someone else, especially if you're in NYC.

By now it's pretty clear these two costars have sort of a prankster relationship at times, which straight boys are apt to do, but here on the Ellen show one might wonder if they made a bet ahead of time who could touch the other one the most during the show, and that Chalamet probably came up with the idea. I love audiobooks. I'm usually too tired to "read" when i get home (just had to get progressive lenses earlier this year). I use the New York public library card and have access to a lot of audiobooks (using their Overdrive app/ Libby app). Plus, i have a subscription to audible when i can't find a book at the library. Audiobooks are great especially for my daily commutes. Can zone out with my bose noise canceling headphones and enjoy a nice story. I usually go through a book a week, much more than I would do if I were to be "actively" reading. It keeps me interested and inquisitive as I am able to explore books or other topics that I am not always drawn to (i.e., American history).

Guadagnino (and Aciman) were portraying how desire works, the vulnerability that can result, an ultimately pain. The father's talk how nature has cunning ways, though it happened last summer, was the last scene of the summer segment. Immediately after are the holiday scenes, and so it isn't much of a stretch to realize that here it comes, the news from Oliver finally brought the pain Professor Perlman predicted Elio would feel and should embrace and nurture. And so he does, in front of the fire.
 
The final scene is one take that lasts over 3 minutes. Was well done. Guadagnino said they shot it three times and took the middle try, the first was more stoic and the last even more emotional.

Alas, you missed the shot that will win Chalamet his Oscar...

I had wanted to try Adam, even with his sky-high prices, but the other posting is a bit too creepy for me. So, the former.

I usually follow up with a thank you text, especially if it is someone I would like to see again. As for the duds i sometimes unfortunately meet, i just chalk it up to "tuition" and put a note next to their number in case they text/call me back for a second appointment.
