Even mentioning a phone number or other medium of communication can trigger OF moderator inspection of the conversation. Maybe you won’t be unlucky in your attempt. But make sure you have searched all other avenues through which you could contact them first.

Exactly this. Escorts quite possibly face a ton of scams /time-wasting/jerking off-to-the-conversation. It’s ok for one as a client to decide to not want to pay a deposit. Just know that while you’re avoiding a scam here or there, you also are missing a potentially great interaction with someone who is an honest provider, and will not make a 30+ minute long trip to you and back without some assurance.

If you paid a deposit of $100 to a provider, and you were blocked by them instantly on all platforms and phone messaging after they receive the deposit, what would you do? (Also, note that I am pro deposit in some situations lol). I am a fan of public shaming- when there is solid evidence provided that the accused really is guilty of whatever the charge is. I tend to believe public persecution here when images of RM blocking and written evidence accompany the accusations. Public shaming is not merely retribution for the terrible act of, for example, theft. It is a deterrent to the thief and a deterrent to other escorts who may be thinking about engaging in scamming. Shame away (with evidence). I tend to be more favorable towards escorts lol, but I believe in shaming a thief/violent actor when there is clear evidence of malfeasance.

It’s unfortunate, but a single instance of deceit is enough for me to not even consider hiring someone. No matter how stellar their future reviews are.

To post a review on rent.men and rentmen.eu sites, you have to have a client account, and it must be a premium account, which you must pay for. I don't know if it is the same on rentmasseur, as I don't use rentmasseur. I don't think bots (multiple distinct automated accounts) are somehow bypassing this financial obstacle, and this certainly wouldn't be a usual or typical phenomenon. I always check to see who else the reviewer has reviewed. Reviews indeed should be taken with a grain of salt, and one should look at written reviews as well through a VPN.

Not to rehash this debate, but I wouldn't necessarily always say no to a deposit request. I always check to see whether they have at least a 4.9 rating on RM (and I check the written reviews). I also examine what people have said about them on this site (if nothing is said, I might be hesitant to pay a deposit). Indeed, it is your prerogative to never pay a deposit. Just as it means you avoid some scammers, it also means you might not get to meet up with an honest provider who doesn't want to risk traveling quite a distance only for the client to block/cancel. Glad to see this person being named as a scammer- he should not be hired anymore.
