I’m not arguing that he could be a scammer or that it's a potential red flag, but it’s funny that you suspect the guy might be a “bot or scammer”, yet you take “originally from Florida” at face value, as if it automatically means he was born there. It’s clear that his English is limited, so he might be misusing the word “originally”. Maybe he just meant that he used to live there. Maybe he just feels that telling a random stranger he's not from the U.S. isn't the best idea right now.
In any case, you’d be surprised how many people who were actually born in Florida aren’t fluent in English. Some grow up in households where only another language is spoken, like Spanish, Russian, or French. Others are raised in tight-knit cultural or religious communities where English isn’t the dominant language, even if they’re white and born in the U.S.

Not necessarily a scammer by default. It could also be a request from someone who is looking to hook up rather sooner than later, someone looking to offer sex for sale, or a scammer. It's the broken English (from someone born in Florida) that makes it very likely a scam.
