Of course stats matter, but so do perceptions.  Shoplifting is so bad in San Francisco that drug stores have resorted to putting frozen food under lock & key.  Such a measure doesn't mean that I am much more likely to get murdered or mugged in the city, but who wants to live in a place where toothpaste & Hot Pockets have to be bolted down?
Please note that the property crime statistics in San Francisco fail to tell the real story because stores don't even bother to report thefts less than $950.

I visited with him at his Manhattan location.... he is good at what he does, no question.
But there was something "off" about him and I am trying hard to put my finger on it. Something about his demeanor -- there was that intangible "yuck" factor about him - he seemed awfully full of himself but in a needy kind of way - hard to describe
Having that said the experience was good but I wish it had been a little less about HIM and more about ME

It is actually not that uncommon for providers to create a profile and post flattering comments about themselves…and the providers they work with, like you did when you commented on collegeguynyc and recommended Quads. Yes, I met him. Maybe your mistook his persistence for being aggressive? He was very eager to meet me, and I thought it was because I was being generous. But he was great. I’m actually a regular of his now. It’s rare I meet guys from the site who seem interested and like they’re having fun instead of bored or robotic, but he was really fun.

Now,  I know no politics,  but I want to commend this woman for what she did for the gay community.       Yes,  she probably needed to retire,  but she was amazing for her contributions.

How many of us accomplished so much against so many odds? Please let's be realistic. 
Well, at least she didn't run from a crime scene, and she had the balls to tell the public what happened. How many of us would react after running into some coworkers dead in the office? She was tougher than most of us, that I can tell you. 
She was a civilian...
