One of the downsides of the purely sequential approach comes when there is no reply from the provider. When faced with radio silence, I never know how long to wait before moving on. On a couple occasions this past year or so, my "patience" in waiting for a reply has let too much time lapse and the window of opportunity closed without my being able to book anyone. Which was a bummer of my own making. Also this year, on two sequential trips to two different large US cities, I had two experiences of being ghosted by gents who took more than a day to reply to my preliminary query. Still, I was heartened when they agreed to meet but then they went radio silent and, again, the window of opportunity passed. Which was a bummer not entirely of my own making. (And which inclines me to feel that delayed reply time is its own kind of red flag.) For the sequential-queries-only crew: how much non-response time do you let elapse before moving on to your next contender?

I used the "shotgun" approach for the first time just this past weekend and it worked quite well for me. The context: big city, very narrow window of time for daytime appointment, holiday weekend, me hosting in my hotel. Sent the exact same message to a half dozen new-to-me gents about 24-36 hours before the requested appointment. Four replied in a timely manner to let me know they weren't available in my admittedly quite narrow timeframe; one replied to confirm he was available and interested; and one never responded. I booked with the one who replied, for a very gratifying encounter. Enjoyed brief, clarifying, and very friendly exchanges with two of those who replied, bumping each of them to the top of my priority-hire list. For me, it was an effective use of the approach. Not a strategy that I would use in most situations, as I prefer to hire with a longer lead time, which typically allows for one query at a time. But, under these circumstances, "the shotgun" style was quite effective, in both the immediate and longer term...

I don't know that all three were theatre majors. (Perhaps?). Or that cocaine was the primary intoxicant involved. (Perhaps one among several?) But this assessment does seem to align with how the creators themselves have described the process they used to "assemble" the show... I enjoyed it far more than you, mostly because it's just so unapologetically bonkers and so gleefully stupid. But I can see how it's not to everyone's taste.

Some years ago, I had a great session at one of the LodgeNY parties with a (sadly now-retired) gent I met via a live-cam site. Super hot. If Ace Carter ever relists his long-expired ad, I know that public cruising is one of his favorite hobbies.

Good roster of gents, including several very appealing new gents who were lots of fun. When I got there (earlier than usual), the ratio of gents to patrons was a bit skewed (three "dancers" to every one patron). This imbalance always brings the energy down and makes the aggressive guys even more persistent. But things were much more balanced by the time I left (around 11) and the energy was definitely picking up. My only/main complaint? There were far fewer places to sit than usual. But I had a very nice time.

There has been no email for the last two weeks, so far as I know. The most recent I've received (sent two weeks ago, at 435pm ET, on 5/8) reads: There will be NO SHOW tonight. These events happen in private spaces, with the address provided with pre-registration. The party started in Philly. Moved to Cherry Hill. The Philly space was good. The Cherry Hill space is great.

For a long time, I was most interested in sampling the broad array of pleasures and almost made a point of never hiring the same gent twice. Coming out of the pandemic, that began to shift as I discovered one gent who I couldn't get enough of... In the last couple years, I keep trying to sample, but haven't had much luck (lots of ghosting/roads-to-nowhere and some mixed results). Perhaps as a result am more inclined to hire gents with whom I have some fondness/chemistry and with whom I know the pieces fit nicely...

Ditto what @sniper said, but also to add: occasionally it's also the "haven't been seen in a while" veterans who start the evening in underpants... But never more than 1 or 2 among the 25+ gents strutting around starkers.

Recently had a "meh" encounter with an established CoM-recommended gent. In the subsequent 24hrs, routine pleasantries were exchanged via text. A week after the meetup, I receive another text politely but directly requesting that I leave a five star review, referencing our post-meetup pleasantries as evidence of my having a great time and noting that "things have been slow lately"... This particular gent has 100+ RM reviews -- with most recent from April 2026 -- and he currently has a 5.0 rating. I'm perplexed about how to proceed. I could just ignore the request -- which is typically not how I roll, so it feels weird and uncomfortable to do so. I could leave the 5star review -- which wouldn't be honest but under no circumstances would I mess with any gent's overall rating just because I could. I could reply to him explaining that I no longer leave reviews on RM, due past (not great) experiences doing so -- which is basically true but possibly irrelevant I could do something else that I'm not thinking of... I do not anticipate booking with this particular gent again. And I don't know that I'm looking for guidance. Just needed to shake this annoyance off. PS: as an aside, I find that I'm mostly okay with tipping culture run amok but it's the unrelenting loop of "please leave a rating to let us know how well we served you today" feedback requests that is clearly working my nerves...
