Good idea? Terrible idea? Gee what could possibly go wrong? Self-Service for Airport Security? It’s Happening in Las Vegas. At security lanes at Harry Reid International Airport, travelers with PreCheck clearance can test a new self-service screening process with remote T.S.A. agents and video monitors. (Article is paywalled. NY Times)

As mentioned above be sure to check income limitations. Bear in mind that if you execute a backdoor Roth and then cross the income limits in that same year, you will have a tax nightmare to deal with. Doing something like selling a piece of real estate can cause that (as happened to a family member of mine), or getting an unexpected raise (as happened to me). Congress came close to closing the backdoor Roth loophole not long ago. It violates the spirit of the Roth’s purpose. I won’t be surprised if they do succeed in stopping the backdoor Roth in the near future.

Yet somehow people manage to indicate drug use with impunity. Sure it will block you from putting certain words in your profile. But lots of people still use coded language. Why is hiring any different?

The assumption is that the final price includes everything that went into creating the product. I’d argue that’s not so, in this case, because a self employed masseur has to compete with the spas. This can keep the price suppressed even though he has extra expenses like self employment tax (that’s 8% right off the top, assuming he claims the income). Sometimes prices are so high that everything does seem baked in though. I agree that it can make me feel reluctant to tip in that scenario. I hope we get to hear from OP on how he will proceed. No right or wrong here!

The Hours was underwhelming IMO, except for DiDonato. A triumph of marketing though, which opera sorely needs. Radvanovsky as the three Tudor queens perhaps? But then, I’m partial to her voice, since it’s one of the few that can really shine at a venue as large as the Met. She has sent chills down my spine before. Fleming in Rosenkavalier was perfection.

Only one third? I’m genuinely surprised. Thanks.

@MmM and others who tip at a spa but not for a private masseur… serious question, not trying to attack you or be a hater. I agree each person can do what works for them. My question: Does this mean you would never tip a provider for escort services when it’s an in call? After all, they are self employed as well. In my mind a tip means “thanks, that was good,” full stop. I don’t really understand the rationale of not tipping based on where the service happens. Not that your approach is wrong of course, since tipping is optional anyway. A masseur who has a private business out of their place has gone to more trouble than a spa employee: setting up a website or online booking service, dedicating a space in their home to the activity, having a table, having to deal with the dirty towels, etc. Sure, they don’t have to give a cut to the house but that’s because they went to some extra effort. Don’t they deserve a tip if the experience itself was good, just like a spa employee?

I found it impossible to enjoy bottoming until my early 30s. Believe me I tried. I wanted to know what the big deal was. Bodies change, yours can too. If you are able to enjoy it in a self-love session, you can learn to enjoy it with a guy. My suggestion, get a smallish plug. Leave it in for an extended period (an hour or so). Do this on a regular basis. Eventually you learn to get much more comfortable with the sensation, so it helps to relax oneself, both physically and mentally, so that a cock is possible. And poppers. Lots of poppers.

I keep it simple. 20% of the rate. More if he went overtime and didn’t charge me for it, which does happen sometimes.

I get where you’re coming from, but off the top of my head… Guys who are serious about the gym often like strict routines. It’s how they achieve amazing results. Some even see the gym as a job, it’s part of the work that enables them to be successful in everything else, including escorting. Maybe he has a trainer booked and can’t reschedule every time a possible client expresses interest. Or he has enough clients already, so doesn’t need to upset his routine to take an extra one. Not everyone wants to maximize.

Ok, had to laugh at that one. Clever.

That’s odd. What did you say you wanted to do? Cuddle the whole time? 😜

There’s a very common reason for it that you haven’t mentioned. A resting face looks much younger than a smiling one. Minimized crows feet, marionette lines, bags under the eyes, etc.

Is there some specific knowledge about this provider on the PNP topic? Or it’s just an assumption that every person who lists PNP as an interest is a drug addict?

Sounds like an opportunity to combine both. Nantaimori time!

People went on an extended online spending orgy, which all transportation companies benefitted from. Plus there were supply chain issues causing a huge shortage of air freight space which meant people who would normally get delivery of orders by freight had to switch to express services. UPS and FedEx had huge, but temporary, profits as a result. It was a supply-demand imbalance. Now that things are returning to normal, they have volumes coming down, year over year, but still have significantly more shipments than they did pre-covid. So the volume and profit windfalls are over. It’s back to normal (good, instead of very exceptional) growth now. Yes they are bellwether companies. But the numbers don’t mean impending recession. They mean the results must be viewed in light of tough comps that are specific to the express transportation industry.

Is racism rampant in the American healthcare system?

Fresh Air (NPR) did a 40 minute podcast interview with Dr Blackstone. It’s very interesting and she’s persuasive about the topic. One problem, in my opinion, is that there’s a bit of overreach. She won’t win people to her cause by saying things like, “Race cannot be a risk factor because it is a social construct.” Wait, what? Implying that doctors shouldn’t consider race when looking at a case is quite a leap. Yes we need to counteract unconscious bias. But doctors also have to apply the facts as currently understood. -
I know that everyone’s situation is different, but I was expecting everyone to say yes to this question. The market is up about 45% since Feb 2020. Home prices sky rocketed. Surely many of the people on this forum own substantial amounts of stock and real estate. I’m definitely better off, and I include my social life in that statement. Covid was a chance to get very close to people without the distractions of our normally-busy lives. Those bonds have lasted for me.

My hometown, a tiny little speck on the map, tried to promote itself for the 2017 event. But the path of totality was miles wide and stretched across the nation. There was no discernible influx of people in the region. I suspect this one will be similar. I was thinking of going to Pittsburgh. That way I could drive to Ohio or northern NY depending on which had better weather. And I’ve always wanted to see Falling Water. Still… TX is probably a safer bet, although it’s not a place I particularly enjoy visiting.

April 8th there will be a total solar eclipse in the US. The one in 2017 was spectacular, beyond beautiful. This will be the last one for the next 20 years here. I plan to travel to see it. What’s the weather like in TX in early April? I’m fearful that if I stay in the Northeast I’ll end up with crap weather. Anyone else strategizing and planning a trip?

Yes I was having that problem a couple of days ago. Seems to be fixed now.

I’m imaging that the conversation started something like this: “Hi it’s your accountant. There’s enough money lying around in your ‘hobby’ fund to buy a new house….”

I just watched it. Decent, but I wouldn’t recommend going out of one’s way. The repeated derogatory use of the term “whore” was annoying. The dubbing was not great. But overall, a light, sexy romp.

As a gay man of a certain age, the most notable thing about Sears for me was that at a very early age I could see pictures of men in their underwear in the Sears catalog. There was nothing else available that was even remotely sexual, so that was the best I could find. To this day I have a specific fetish tied to using that catalogue as a form of porn.
