la_connor got a reaction from Tony Napoli in RalphMasseur LA
Another vote for Ralph. Thanks for the recommendation!
Friendly smart guy. He gives a great therapeutic massage. I hired him for therapeutic only, since that's what his ad says and I think it's important to respect boundaries. I'll hire again for therapeutic, but I'd happily pay more for a more intimate experience.

Hmmmm...My summation was intended to be about more about SOME members of CoM, rather than about any providers at all: Like a bunch of Talmudic scholars let loose by the CIA to study the connections between the dark web and ye olde Farmers Almanac, who in the absence of any actual evidence tease out lengthy and detailed "facts" and "meaning" from a few pieces of punctuation here and there or from their own interpretations of what a word "really means" or from commentary on the previous breadcrumbs left by other scholars immersed in the obsessive study of Company of Men. I really want to start seeing some of the evidence boards, guys.

I'll guess that your guess was right, @Tony Napoli.
RM's definition of Los Angeles extends far beyond the city itself. It's like saying Trenton is in Manhattan.

la_connor reacted to MsgFantasy in Visiting the NoHo Spa Made Me Realize Why I Prefer to Hire
I live in L.A., but I haven't visited the North Hollywood Spa for years. Today I happened to be out and about nearby and have time, so I decided to try my luck.
For casual hookups, I generally only prefer mutual oral, but I know I may not get that from one person, so my agenda was simple, get a BJ and give a BJ. After stalking the halls, video rooms, and the steam room for about 1.5 hours looking for either, I got the BJ. I was surprised to find out trying to give one wasn't that easy as another guy there was literally sucking all the dicks before I can even get close to any of the guys I liked. For example, If I saw someone I liked arriving, I'd wait a little bit for them to get settled, but when I saw the person I liked again in the video room, that one guy would be already doing it. While I like to give people space and try to exchange looks first, he would just get down and do it. I guess as a strategy, that makes sense, as few men would actually stop someone from giving them a BJ--only one guy turned him away.
I couldn't bring myself to just go for it, I'm too shy, and even if it's just a hookup, I still need to confirm some degree of affection before giving a BJ. I gave myself a time limit there, so right before I reached the time limit, I just jerked off and leave, and of course another decent looking guy asked if he could come to my room right when I had to leave, so I turned him away.
Hiring someone may cost more money, but in hindsight, I realized I'd rather spend those few hours doing something more productive than walking around at a gay spa to maybe hookup with a person I like.🤷♂️ Well, at least I got my steps in for the day.

Worth repeating: not a hookup place.
Wi Spa is not a sex club, it's a community center. I take my own family there.
People take their children to Wi Spa. DO NOT CRUISE THERE!
Please, please don't cruise there.

Anonymous window shopping is not against the law, whether online or at a brick & mortar establishment. At one time, it was encouraged. But both forms of vendors now want an email, phone number or social media handle before you're welcome to see all the goods.
In a face to face shopping encounter, if an employee approaches me with a tablet to take my info before answering my questions, I don't take it personally, I just turn and leave.
Online, if they don't want me to anonymously get a general sense of the merchandise, I don't take it personally, I just open a new tab for a competitor.

I completely agree with you. I’ve always felt that this platform attracts a lot of negativity, and even some clients have told me that’s why they no longer post here. In the past, I used to take it personally when people called me names. But over time, I realized that if I choose to present myself publicly, I can’t let it affect me in the same way. Instead, I had to work on myself — and that took time and maturity.
Recently, I saw a video from Jennifer Lopez’s tour. Out of curiosity, I read the comments — and all ten of them were negative. People wrote things like “she’s too old for the stage,” “she’s just copying Madonna,” '' she can not. her legs'' or worse. And it hit me: no matter how successful or talented you are, no matter how good you look or how much you give, people will always find something to criticize. The same is true in our work — not everyone is for everyone, and that’s okay.
What I’ve noticed is that many people, deep down, would love me as a boyfriend or partner, but when it comes to services, they choose to complain or gossip. Unfortunately, that’s just the world we live in right now — filled with a lot of negativity.
But life is too short for that. One day we will all be gone, and it’s far better to live with positivity and love than to waste our energy on hate and negativity.

Some guys on here are impossible. The ones that have never actually met one of these guys in person but message all of them with endless back and forth just to get their rocks off. All escorts/clients are definitely not created equal.
It's not that serious guys. If they seem compatible with what you're looking for, book them, if not then don't even bother. They are there for our fun, I read some messages and im just like WTF. It seems as if some guys on here only want to gossip and nit pick these guys that rejected them or they can't afford to see. Prove me wrong...........

la_connor got a reaction from MikeBiDude in Is Your Massage Therapist a Sex Offender?
One of my dearest friends was a "sex offender". He was arrested for performing in a drag show in a gay bar in 1971. They printed his name in the paper to shame him. A real paper, not that trashy blog.
I remember the raids. Good men had their lives ruined by articles like that. Sleazy. Salacious. Cruel.
The customer who complained sounds like a creep.

Interesting reading. I personally don't like the way the story is told. Seems biased towards presenting only the salacious side of the story and portraying only him as the wrongdoer. I'd like to know the background of the accuser, and also how Equinox ended up hiring that guy without a background check (or hiring him anyway after a background check).

Very solid massage skills. MT and HE are new to him. He offers an HE for $50 more. But the conversation about it is so clunky and awkward for him. And he is so nervous about it. and attempts the HE in the last five minutes…. It kind of ruins it. I’m sure one day he’ll learn how to blend those two techniques and those two worlds. But right now he is amazingly therapeutic, and the click to sensual is a hard rough and unpleasant turn. He won’t confirm anything over text. You have to be in the room with him and he’ll ask you what kind of massage you’re looking for. Nervously of course.

There was far more variety on craigslist than we have now on RM. CL ads were anonymous, free, easy to create, and easy to delete. A guy looking for extra cash could post an ad, meet up with a customer, and delete his ad the same day without looking back. It was just an odd job, like mowing lawns.
That must still be going on, but I don't know where they advertise.
