What is exactly going on in that retainer? It looks unsettling.

Oh! Yes. Exaggeration intended! Although my friends would roll their eyes at my need to plot out a schedule for months ahead for everything! There’s a left and a right side of the road to fall off!

It seems to me there are two things going on here… 1. Having a picture on a potentially compromising site used by the government to prosecute a targeted quest against folks like escorts, under the guise if sex trafficking, but really about morality. 2. Having technology collect biometric data ans use it against us in any and all malicious ways, such as the above cited work of hackers. I find the idea that hackers would use online data in a malicious way more compelling than the sex trafficking angle. But anyone who has any social media with their photo already provide such a trove to hackers. Show of hands who has social media with photos of themselves…

I have a feeling, no evidence, but a feeling the fear far outweighs the risk. Some of this talk sounds like paranoia to me, to be honest. That’s my opinion anyhow.

That’s well put. It does rub me wrong when I see an ad that says not to contact a guy unless I’m ready for now. Well, I’m ready now to buy your plane ticket if we could pick a date etc. But a lot of these guys think this is Grindr but they get paid. Or they hide behind the excuse that planners won’t follow through. Honey, if I pay for your round-trip plane ticket, I’m committed. It seems to me that having a mix of some planned gigs with guys like me with the popup types would be the best-case scenario for a provider. He’d at least know he has a good gig coming down the pike. Long-range planning etc. for expenses. Then again, my experience has also been that many of these guys, especially those under 25, don’t seem capable of thinking about much down the road more than about 25 minutes from now either…

There’s an escort (or was – I haven’t looked in a while) who charges crazy rates but has no reviews…but has been on RM for quite a while. And he uses OF to vet potential clients. You have to subscribe to his OF for him to even consider booking you, so his automated response tells you. Well, yours truly was dumb enough to pay that, and said escort didn’t communicate with me over OF either. As promised. I’m convinced guys have left negative reviews of him on RM but they’ve been removed. I’m not paying RM for their material if they removed negative reviews. The reviews are useless if they’re curated.

The government knows or can find out way more on any of us than we could even fathom.

Another example of AI retouching that says to me “pass.” The picture is too perfect. A normal photograph that shows what I’ll actually encounter should be what shows up in the ad. Not something so retouched it looks fake or something like this in a gym. We won’t be meeting in the gym so this so over the top…

That’s partly why scheduling is important in my opinion. It helps both of us know what works if he doesn’t want to make a special trip. I’ve flown in guys for a few days who then stay a few days longer because they’ll be in a market they’re not always in. Or in the case of one regular, he schedules his time in my area when I’m able to host him if I reach out soon enough.

I almost exclusively schedule multiple-day BFEs. Given my work, it requires me to take time off and requires planning. I prefer scheduling several months out with guys. Sometimes this means I have to fly guys in because local guys aren’t interested in scheduling. How many do multiple-day BFEs? How many schedule months ahead? Providers: what do you see as both the upside and downside to such an approach, for you and for us scheduling types?

Sometimes it gives insight into his personality. Depending on the cosplay or whatever getup he’s wearing, it can give an indication of compatibility for something more than “fuck and run.”

My very first regular wanted me to pay for a few extra days after our time together but didn’t expect me to comp him for our time.
