they filmed in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area....my mother's home was a few blocks away from that large fratmen/fratpad house where they did a lot of the filming (some blog back then was able to figure out the house - it was on Jackrabbit just W of Scotts Rd for any locals!!)......I don't know all the eventual intrigue between the owners/operators of fratmen/fratpad, but I believe gayhoopla is a "descendant" of the original website (same operator??).......
