Yes. It usually starts with a PM about a common interest or similar story. Back-and-forth chat ensues, then a "Hey, gonna be in your town next week. Got time for a beer or coffee?" There's the Palm Spgs forum weekend, too, of course!

without being asked, I'll usually offer my basic stats in an early communication with any new provider.....usually helps with proving my sincerity and honesty, I think, and, along with other friendly chat, makes it all more comfortable for both of us
