I'm sure you'll find a guy that you like on rentmen.

one more thing, you don't write as a "higher end" guy.

And this little stroll down memory lane inspired me to check and, yes, my first hire was FIVE YEARS AGO just this past Tuesday...

ericwinters reacted to Smurof in taco bell troubles
Today everyone got a free taco at that fast food franchise between 2 and 6. I know what a great many are thinking : my trouble was going to a junk food establishment in the first place.

Place #1 had a gigantic line, which was to be expected. It was moving rather quickly, though. Strangely, nobody ever got in line behind me. After 20 minutes and me being the only one left in line to order, the cashier shouts "Going on break!", and leaves. I'm thinking WTF?, but can't be mad. It's free food, after all, and they're entitled to a break. The manager after a couple of minutes of me standing there alone and the place quickly emptying out with 1 taco to go orders asks me if I'm ordering anything, or just there for the free taco. I said I'm there for the free taco and he said the cashier will be right back! She took a 14 bless her heart, and after 20 minutes in line and 14 minutes of her break, ordered my taco which amazingly was already ready for me immediately. Nobody came into the restaurant in that entire 34 minute time frame. Can Taco Bell #2 be worse?

I walk in, and everyone inside waiting for their tacos has created a weird ring around the entire interior of the place, as if someone barked at people to create space for order takers or something. I said I'd like a free taco. The order taker said that'll be $8.23. I said I thought the taco was free. She said it is, but it would come to $8.23. I asked if they weren't participating, because I was only there for the free taco. She said I would need to pay for the combo and only the 1 taco is free. I said I didn't order a combo. She violently pointed at the combo I never ordered, and said "Are you telling me this is not what you just ordered?" I said I told you I only said I wanted a taco if it's free. She said that I had said 3 tacos, so she put in the combo for me to get 2 tacos and the free one. I said cancel the combo. She said so you don't want anything at all? At this point, the hot-headed manager comes over and asks in a gruff way what the problem is. I said that there isn't one, and left.

I need to have an epiphany that free stuff just isn't worth the bother. I should've taken that hint in 2017 when a radio station was on location at a new store with a prize wheel. I waited 2 hours at the store to be first. Concert tickets, movie passes, t-shirts, vacation getaways all up for grabs, and I win a pen. Holy fuck, typing this is clearly explaining why my boyfriend dumped me!

when some old thread is resurrected (you know who you are!), I'm reminded of old forum members, now not active anymore, and the crazy characters we used to have......oh, wait......

This situation has zero to do with Apple and the app store.

Grindr has been doing this since the sellout. Blame China, not Apple.

I usually go there on the 2nd part of January when hotel prices are 25% of the average and there are no lines.

i don't know how long you'll be here and what you might be interested in as far an non-pride related things goes, but i always recommend checking out the transit museum - it's in an unused subway station in brooklyn and is a great look at the history of the subway, including tons of old cars - also, economy candy and essex market on the lower east side are fun spots to check out - for more touristy but outdoors options, the highline is a nice walk, and there's a restaurant on a boat at the end - also, there are cruises around manhattan that go during the day or at sunset that are incredible, and really give you a beautiful view of the city - in brooklyn there are a whole ton of other things - vintage shopping, a unique gin bar i love (and a whisky bar that will knock your socks off), flea markets, good music venues - i could go on and on

i've been in the city for a long time and have tons of ideas if anyone else needs suggestions (especially non-pride related things) - and, of course, i'm around if you'd like some company while you're running around nyc (or after, when you need to unwind!)

for pride-related activities, i'll be attending the queer liberation march instead of the "official" parade - otherwise, i'm not into the parties so much

When I start going downhill on my journey fighting depression I recount my fortunate outcomes among lots of adversity... and recount the tens of dozens of sad desperate and just wild stories and situations my people are in.

Sometimes my work helping them to see a way forward makes my journey more palatable. And the occasional success, rewarding.

you are definitely not alone, and you are more than enough all by yourself.

i find when i am dealing with some depression that it helps to check off the basics - are you getting enough sleep? are your food and water intake adequate and nutritious? are you getting some exercise - walking, biking, lifting weights, playing a sport? are you balancing work and non-work time? sometimes, we can manage a lot of our mental health by checking these foundations and making sure we've got them in order. that makes it easier to sort out our true feelings without the background of being hungry or overtired.

also, i caution against the thinking that you need a partner or relationship to feel happy or fulfilled. relationships are wonderful but if you focus on something outside yourself, you never give yourself a chance to make yourself ok, and you can easily fall into the trap of tying your emotions and experience to your relationship and not your life.
