Agree with your point, but your math is still wrong.
The 0.2% decrease is from February 2023 (not 2022) to March 2023.  March 2023 is still much higher than any 2022 prices.

I read a different take on those same stats. Same hard numbers, but that the 0.2% decrease in grocery prices was “negligible” and “statistical noise.” According to what I read, gas and grocery prices continue to be unaffected by a decrease in inflation overall.

Groceries in 2021, $100
Groceries in June 2022, $109.10, 9.1% increase
Groceries in March 2023, $108.79, 0.2% decrease 
Big savings! 

With inflation, people are looking to maximize their buck either way – clients don’t have the same spending power and escorts need more spending power. In order to secure any business, I can see some escorts dropping the price. Luxury goods (of which escorts technically are) often see their prices *fall* during times of inflation.

@TruHart1, that’s why I want to have a telephone call before booking. And if the escort wants to book a hiring date before we’ve each sent three texts, he’s likely uninterested in providing anything more than cumming and going. Some guys want that. I do not. Like escorts can sense a time waster, I can sense someone out to use me.

Monitoring your health and condition should be something you’re doing even if you haven’t been fucking escorts. If you develop a strange rash, see a doctor, regardless of sexual history. That seems self-evident to me.

To reiterate what has been said many times before, so not an original thought:
Just don’t rely on anyone (provider, client, hookup, partner etc) telling you they’re on PREP or that they have a health status that influences your behavior.
People don’t often know their actual status, or they may be lying for whatever reason etc and you have to take responsibility for your own health, on the metrics important to you.
And there’s that heat of the moment thing as well …

So it seems like Ben has been going through brief phases of being active on OF and Twitter before vanishing for some time, and isn’t based out of Boston anymore. I asked him on OF how he has been and if he still provides the same services he did in Boston. He left me on read. 

He also seems to have been supporting/reposting questionable posts from anti-LGBT and right-wing personalities like Jordan Peterson on Twitter. I don’t want to support someone who endorses that kind of stuff. Bummer to discover all this.

Perhaps it’s a bit foolhardy, but to my knowledge, treated STDs (not just HIV) are quite manageable and no longer a death sentence. Given the cost of hiring, it’s probably safe to assume that guys who are engaging escorts can afford treatment for an STD if they should contract one. Add to that that many providers are also on PreP and take other precautions for other STDs, it’s hardly a life risk to go bareback. It’s some risk. Of course. So is walking across the street downtown, but people do it. Or taking your mask off in public now with COVID still among us. It’s a (consciously) calculated risk, but not one that carries with it the danger it once did.

That hasn’t been my experience. I used to be hesitant to ask about bareback, especially if it’s posted safe only, but I have yet to have a guy say no to it or charge more.

From my perspective, both sides clearly are forgetting it’s people, not things. There’s little respect here from either direction.

I posed the question because, well, it’s not about the time! Except when it is.
My experience has been it’s not about the time with escorts that care about the service. Again – it goes back to mutual respect.

But that was mutually respectful. Mutually. Therein lies the difference.
I’m giving the OP or the escort a pass here. Both were clearly in effective communicators, or at least lacking standard decorum.
I also don’t know that I’d say too busy for an hour is a lie. If it is, I’m pretty sure escorts have lied about their scheduling to me too. Not because I want 30 minutes but because their reasons for canceling last minute suggest they lost interest, got a more exciting offer, or even an offer that was willing to pay more than me. An escort who agrees and then when it’s time for me to come to him or him to be backs out, or doesn’t communicate anymore, is one who’s lied by the logic that the OP lied about being busy with work.
