Long term relationship between gay man and bi man
+ sniper replied to moonlight's topic in The Lounge
Unfortunately, I think that there are a LOT of men for whom partnered sex is essentially an extension of masturbation. Women are usually less willing to put up with that treatment. -
How can you afford to hire service providers consistently?

The giveaway in Vegas is generally just a bit too much makeup for the setting for a woman who is not traveling in a pack. -

As a gay man trapped in a straight man's body(overweight, balding), when I'm walking alone in Vegas after say, midnight I will generally get catcalled at least once. But a lot of them are a bit more subtle and if you're not looking for it you won't notice it. Some of them simply ride up and down the hotel elevators, others will sit down at a table where there are one or two guys who are clearly alone, etc. And some will find a mark who thinks they're just hooking up and will then ask for the money after, figuring he'll just pay to avoid a scene. -
Why do they keep trying to make Glen Powell happen? What producer is he blowing/letting fuck him?

GAIETY THEATER - GONE 20 YEARS...... RIP
+ sniper replied to + BOZO T CLOWN's topic in Male Strip Clubs
I remember thinking Dave "Angel Wings" was the most gorgeous guy I'd ever seen, then heading to the lounge to talk to him about a private... and his cigarette breath was so overpowering from three feet that I just mumbled something and walked away. -

Yes it's not that demand has gone up, it's that supply has gone down. -
This reminds us me how despite the fact I'd been going to chiropractors and physical therapists on and off for 20 years, when I was finally ready to go under the knife, they tried to postpone my MRI by 12 weeks so I could try PT first.

What a 40ish provider in Vegas told me was a lot of the kids today who previously would have gone into escorting now just do OnlyFans because it's easier, so the amount of money it takes to get someone in person has gone up. -
I thought energy work was reiki where they don't actually even touch you, so beware.

I wasn't. My father had been but did not push any of his sons to be one, which I think disappointed my mother. He told a story of how one day he just decided he didn't want to be one and skipped the Mass he was supposed to serve at. Years later I looked back and wondered if something had happened to him. We def had a couple of priests who he didn't like, but to date the only sex scandals to come to light at my parish were with a priest and a married woman.

Latin men are all over the place on that one, as Latin America is mutiracial. Depends what mix one is. Some age well, some age like that boy who looked like a 25 year old model freshman year of HS who was bald and 50 lbs overweight at the 10 year reunion....

So you can say "I'm not Catholic, but I WAS an altar boy!"

How to tackle safety concerns for sensual/erotic massages

HPV is spread by skin to skin contact. Doesn't require penetration. A lot of wrestlers get it, and herpes, without even having sex. -

I felt like he had a more Anglo name but it's possible. White guy, medium brown hair, kind of Abercrombie looking. -

Yeah there was a super hot DJ can't remember his name. Sometime toward the end he was wearing an eye patch for a while. -

I remember when I was a kid reading my older brother's straight porn mag from the late 70s there was an article with a pictorial where one of their editors got up on stage and danced and that was one of my first inklings that my inclinations lay that way. First went there in 1998. Thomas was first private, kind of a dud. The second was TJ(RIP) which was much more memorable. But was the Gaiety actually shut down "by the authorities" or was it just the building was sold and slated for demolition? -
I think the straight providers are usually one extreme or the other, either very good or very bad, and if you are observant you develop an ability to sniff out which is which. The ones who think of it as a job and are able to compartmentalize it can do it very well. If you think about this, you see people like this in the corporate world all the time, the guys who are able to just spout the company line as if they believe every word of it, even though everyone knows it's BS. Same principle applies.

I mean there is potentially some microscopic time window ambiguity in the "and" that could make a case for first, but the most reasonable interpretation of the phrasing is that I am in second place and THEN you pass me. And stuff like this is why writing specifications for computer programmers is often surprisingly challenging.
-
Second is correct.

Newsweek isn't really Newsweek. The company closed up shop and someone else bought the name.

As for whether I could do it myself, I definitely don't think I could be the "take all comers" type, and while I was not unattractive in my youth I wasn't hot enough to be picky. Closest I came was some older guy telling me "you should be up there on stage" when I was standing in the aisle at the Gaiety, and I wondered if that was an inquiry. Then one time on gay.com I got a personal ad response from a NYC doctor couple looking for a houseboy, and they were definitely people I was attracted to, but I didn't see how I'd explain any of that to my family. Plus I had a decent job myself and didn't think the risk of them getting bored in 2-5 years and dumping me was worth the financial risk. If I were a waiter or something I'd probably have given it a go.
-
With a few exceptions I've generally had better luck with bi/straight-identifying providers. I think the good straight providers are able to just view it as an acting job, or something they are doing for their family to pay the bills, and aren't on some level expecting to enjoy it. Admittedly there are straight guys who are total scammers but I seem to have picked up how to weed them out.

Tesla (TSLA) do you want it in your portfolio?
+ sniper replied to marylander1940's topic in Personal Finance & Investing
If TSLA traded at Ford's P/E, it would be something like $14 a share. They're not the only game in town any more and I can't see their multiple making sense if they're not. The long rally is the classic case of "the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent." To be fair, I think the same thing about the market as a whole. -
If it's one of those guys with a la carte pricing options and you had agreed to the higher one and he did not provide that level, I think there's room to talk about paying for the option you actually got. If they charge a flat fee, I think you chalk it up as a learning experience and move on. But you always have to read the room. Are they high? Seem erratic/volatile? Hand them the money and gtfo.
