The site is definitely not ready for prime time.  Two major issues I found within the first two minutes:
1.  If I search my area and then filter by massage type, only a small number of listings shows.  The list does not expand as I scroll down, even though there are more ads in my area that feature the type of massage I selected.  Nor is there any navigation button or arrow to load more ads.  If I remove the filter, the full list returns and I can continue scrolling down until I see every ad in my area.
2. Filtering my distance is a mess.  I got a few listings in my city (not sorted in the correct order of distance because I've hired some of these guys and I know where they are), and then my list is is a hodge-podge of men as far away as Sacramento (I am in San Francisco).  I didn't select "available now" or anything else, so I don't know why it's showing me so few men who are actually near me and then showing men in Oakland, Hayward and Sacramento.   Filtering by distance also does not work on rentmasseur.com when I'm not logged in, but it works properly when I am logged in.

Did the same here and very scary, at least in my area. Oh well, I guess I'll stick to flying people in or hiring while I'm on business out of town.

I booked him about 2 weeks ago. I was hesitant as I had referred to this actual message thread before hiring him and saw that he cut someone’s time short. Overall, a good experience. He is a little thicker than his ad’s picture but overall, still looks the same. The massage lasted the scheduled time, and he had some decent skills, and I was able to shower afterwards. He was very friendly and offered a beverage of water and a beer after I had showered. If he ever came back to my area I would likely rebook.

Things were slow at work so I opened up RentMasseur to see who might be nearby. Zan was only a mile away so I shot him a text. He responded quickly and within 75 minutes I was at his door. Zan greeted me with a warm hug, welcomed me to the space and asked if I had any target or problem areas. We both stripped and got started. Since he was traveling, massage was on a firm platform bed with a face-pillow attachment. The pressure was fairly deep, which was just what I needed. It felt great! Zan was able to find those knotted areas in my back and made sure to spend extra time working them out. Within 20 minutes, I asked if we could extend our 60 minute session to 90 minutes. He happily obliged and even went a little longer. Zan’s body is also amazing. 💪😍 His entire torso is nicely muscled and representative of his photos in the ad. So like others have said, Zan is one of the good ones. Great massage, a welcoming environment and one of the nicest hunks you’ll ever meet. I’ll book him again next time our paths cross.

There’s no reason a masseur or escort needs your face or body photos. It’s a red flag that they’re probably cherry picking clients based on whatever preferences they have. I suggest clients pass and move on to the professionals with no hangups about how their clients look.

Once you send out a picture you have no control over what someone does with it.  Better paranoid than sorry.

I am one of those who avoids social media altogether.
It seems like most people are debating just the effect of sending a pic, but to me, the demand itself is not reasonable. It's one thing to ask for a pic, another to require it. "hey, would you be willing..." is not the same as "I require a face pic".   
What if we were to reverse the demand? How many providers would be okay with the client demanding face pics of those masseurs who do not post face pics on their ads? Again, asking is not the same as requiring. I'm not okay with being required to send a pic, personally. Like I said above, if others are okay with it, all power to them, but I'm not. I care very much about discretion, and anything in my control with respect to discretion, I want to control. I do think, for me, it's a big deal to send my picture to someone I don't even know. To be required to take such a risk, is, in my view, unreasonable.

Call us paranoid if you like, but I'm not sure that not wanting to send selfies of oneself is really paranoia. What if I'm a closeted doctor fearful of being outed, what if I'm locally known, what if there's a high chance of being recognized and my private life exposed that I'm trying to keep secret? I don't think it's paranoia to not want my picture 'out there'. Many people don't want their pics even up on social media. If someone is out already or just doesn't mind anyone finding out about their sessions, all power to them. It doesn't mean that those not like that are paranoid. 
I realize as @SouthOfTheBorder said, that I could be secretly being recorded. That's not in my control. The risk that is in my hands is all that I can control and nothing else. There's a gamble being taken by both the provider and the client, and both acknowledge that. Trying to think of ways to protect everyone is a smart idea, but I don't think requiring a photo does much to really provide security. If it's to identify who's at the door, then asking for a description is as secure as asking for a photo. Again, at the end of the day, both sides are accepting a certain level of risk.
