I would call Vanguard and get an advisor to help you invest it. They will help you define your risk tolerance, what your future plans for the monies are etc. My Vanguard plan isn't complex, mostly index funds, but there is a comfort level knowing that a professional person has eyes on it as well. Part of it quite frankley is they encourage me to spend a some of it while I'm younger.

Providers can be very very good. I have a thing for fit Latinos as well. I had this issue a while back - the provider was a nice enough guy but was much much older than advertised and didn't show his face in ads.
