BSR reacted to samhexum in David Del Rio fired from Matlock!
David Del Rio has been fired from the CBScourtroom drama, a source confirms to TVLine, after the show was alerted to an incident involving the actor. An investigation was conducted, and the show has since parted ways with Del Rio. His character will immediately be written off, though it’s not clear how many episodes he’ll appear in for the upcoming Season 2. The show is currently on a filming hiatus through November after completing production on the first half of the season. (TVLine has reached out to Del Rio’s representatives for comment.)
No details about the alleged incident have been officially released, but TMZ, who first reported the news, says that Del Rio was accused of sexually assaulting co-star Leah Lewis on Paramount property. Del Rio was reportedly escorted off the Paramount lot last week as soon as the allegations were reported.

There's now a handful of states that require businesses to accept cash, with most of the laws passed in the last year.
I wrote my state assemblyman yesterday requesting such a law for my state, as I find it unacceptable that the largest medical provider in my state won't accept cash for a $10 co-payment.  Talk about a barrier to healthcare that is so easy to remove.

I prefer cash for the sake of confidentiality.
This thread reminds me of that joke from the roast of Jerry Springer: "You paid a hooker with a check. That's as stupid as... paying a hooker with a check."

I would highly recommend asking them to count the cash. Recently I handed a provider the envelope of cash and he didn’t count it. About 5 min after leaving, he texts to tell me I was $180 short. Now I know I wasn’t short (maybe I missed a $20 but not that much!!). But he was at my place and came back to my door demanding more. I had to pay him more to prevent him causing a scene. It was my first and last time hiring him. It was too bad too because it was a good session and I would’ve considered making him a regular.

I saw the movie tonight.  I was not familiar with the Broadway show. I really enjoyed the movie.  It definitely stuck with me. In reading the synopsis of the stage musical online, I can see there are some changes, and I suspect the stage musical is superior.  But I am glad I saw the movie.

In addition to being a smart marketing move by providers, I think daddies are having a bit of a moment. I’m in my early 50s and get far more attention from guys in their 20s than I did when I was in my 20s.

I had the pleasure of visiting Versailles in an almost empty capacity right when Paris briefly opened up during Covid (they closed again after an explosion of numbers). For a history/political science buff like me it was an unforgettable experience. At the time the rooms were nearly empty, the Hall of Mirrors was the most packed of all of the rooms. Personally, even if there were a lot of people, I would still recommend Versailles if history is important to you. Don't do it during the summer though, because the where you'll get the most crowds and the heat is truly unbearable. Do it during low season in fall or winter.

I agree entirely......I think I wrote about this in the forum a year or two ago......returning home from RJ one time, my itinerary had a plane change at Iguazu (I didn't plan that intentionally)......realizing the layover was about 4.5 hours, I thought..."hmmm...is it possible??!!"......I went out to the airport lobby and stepped up to the first tour desk to ask if anybody is available for a quickie tour of the Brazil side with return to the airport in time.....she said people do that all the time and she had a private English-speaking driver (I did have to explain what a "hawker" is on RJ beaches!) there in 20 minutes and off we went.....he helped with admission logistics, talked about the animals and plants and stuff, dropped me at one trail entrance and met me at the other end of it, told me where to go for other photo ops, the whole bit (Brazil side).......the entire thing (guide, transport, admission) ended up being about $150US which seemed like a bargain since many spend thousands for a trip to Iguazu......it's a spectacular site

I agree.  I've had dozens of times when I was younger and shared a room with an older man or men as a chaperone.  YMCA Indian Guides camping trips, Boy Scout camping trips, elementary school camping trips, high school camping trips, university camping trips, workplace camping trips, trips with my older neighbor.  These men were are all several decades older than me, often age 60+.  No big deal.

I wonder if it just seems creepy to us as gay men.  I can imagine that whoever made this decision back then simply didn't even think about whether either the younger or older men were gay, so to them it just seemed like two men sharing sleeping quarters with no notion that sexual attraction/attention would enter the picture.

There’s a type and attraction to certain older men that get the label daddy. I think a lot of providers are really just inviting older men with disposable income to hire them by listing daddies in the “into” list whether that’s what they’re really into or not.

Doesn’t sound f*cked up to me, not even a little.  In the olden days, back when conventional wisdom held that the best form of contraception was an aspirin, held between the knees, a mistress was such an enormous threat to a wife not just because of the emotional betrayal but also the possible financial burden that supporting a mistress & child imposed.  Flipped around, no husband wanted his wife to get pregnant with another man’s child, lest he get stuck with raising and supporting a kid that wasn’t his.  Even after the pill, Roe, and DNA testing, that mentality persisted.
Maybe that psychology shaped your agreement; maybe it has absolutely nothing to do with it.  Regardless, it sounds like you and your wife have figured out what works for the two of you, which is all that matters.
