This is where I will disagree with you. You didn’t want to move forward with booking an appointment with him because you have an issue with paying his rate, which is perfectly fine.
But you haven’t met him and are assuming he thinks of himself as a model and that his massage isn’t even that sensual. If you contacted him you know he offers two options and both options are detailed with exactly what to expect. He’s actually one of the only guys I’ve come across that lays things out so clearly for us to understand and we know exactly what we’re paying for. And if you have more questions just go to his reviews.
I have come across this model type you refer to where the massage is barely sensual and everything is an up charge and he doesn’t want to be touched and has a pretentious attitude. I posted about this in a different thread too. One guy that definitely comes to mind is Den Masseur in NYC. He’s only hot to look at but everything else lacks. But that’s not what Leo is.
Regarding cost in general, I mentioned this in another thread about someone who charges $400 per hour:
“That’s standard today for an upscale guy with good reviews. I feel like a lot of us guys on here get so hung up on the dollar amount.
If we have enough to spend on $300 guys, is $100 extra really that much more if you are getting quality service from a quality guy? If it is, then why complain? Just don’t hire the guy if it’s above your budget. I’ve seen so many posts berating guys because so many entitled men on here feel they should tell a worker their worth which I find to be so wrong. If you can’t afford a guy, then look for someone you can afford. Plain and simple.”

Never forget that just because you cannot afford it or are unwilling to pay it doesn't mean someone else won't.
There is indeed a hammer for every nail.
The public pearl-clutching over rates, by some, is amusing.

There is nothing to say. I live in Manhattan where there are some truly beautiful supermarkets with lovely graphics, a couple of extra staff people on the floor, great prepared food, and enticing graphics throughout that are very successful businesses. These stores sometimes charge SUBSTANTIALLY more for food staples than simpler stores nearby.
I know my personal budget -- and I know where I buy what I need. No need to engage the business manager in the store that charges more with discussions about pricing policy. If a store's pricing is not profitable, a store will change it or go out of business. There is nothing to say.

I fail to understand why anyone would explain WHY they aren't available. Unless we have matching wedding rings, all I need to say is "I can't meet then."
Giving details is an open invitation to question my life choices and priorities.

I met him recently. The vibe I got via text was more so direct rather than rude. I thought ok it’s his business and he just wants to close the appointment. I paid the deposit he requested after seeing his very lengthy menu of services. I thought he would be different in person.

When I met him, he was so cold, stand-offish and rude. There was zero connection or chemistry. He’s not a nice guy. It felt like his mind was on a different planet, or perhaps back in France, he wasn’t present or engaging.

I knew the reviews were mixed, but I wanted to see for myself and now I know. With him, it’s 100% business. At a few points throughout the massage, it was actually a bit painful even though I opted for the erotic option.

    Verdict: hire a different masseur.

I think that's fair, but in my opinion, also more reason to treat actual clients well. If you're feeling burnt out in this line of work, I certainly understand, but then you take a break. Charging $500/hr to then give subpar services just sucks for everyone.

Can confirm, as someone who has met him, this is not accurate. He’s actually quite direct about exactly what to expect. There’s no surprises or upcharges like DenMasseur, where everything is à la carte.

I had to scroll up to see what you meant by the photos are of someone else. The person who posted the old and rough guy didn’t do enough CSI detective work. When you click on that old guy’s advertisement, his name is also Leo and he also offers massages. But that’s the only similarity. If you click on his contact information the phone numbers are indeed different, so there’s no connection.

I want to make sure I understand this correctly… because you can’t afford what he charges you think his rates are insane? And you also are careful because he has “professional ‘model pix’”. So you prefer he takes pics with an Android? Regarding his pics, they actually don’t do him justice like many of his reviews state. He looks much better in person.

You haven’t met him, but on the other thread you said you steer clear of guys that think of themselves as a model. So because Leo has taken professional pictures, it correlates with insane rates and a barely sensual massage?

Your logic is off. My advice, if you can’t afford someone, don’t whine and kick your feet about it. Just find a provider that fits your budget. Plain and simple.

Yes and no. For the most part I do. You can read the enthusiasm a client has when speaking about a provider. That is usually the first thing I look at. If the reviews look good, I’ll inquire. You can tell a lot of about a provider by the tone in their communication. Just simple manners go a long way.

I will only ask for a deposit from a client who has either no showed on me before or one who has repeatedly canceled in the past. Asking for a deposit for the session will most likely guarantee them to show up for their appointment. A no show client will also be charged a $100 no show fee on top of my normal fee if they ever wish to schedule.

I concur that Leo is a fantastic kisser. When I inquired about Leo's connection with Gabriel, he mentioned they occasionally travel for work, yet he also travels with other friends on different occasions.
Regarding their relationship, the fact is they're simply friends, which explains why they don't collaborate professionally. It would be a steamy interaction if they ever crossed that friendship boundary…

I have not met him, but have additional intel that he's a good guy and does, indeed, ask for discretion......I'm sure somebody (forum member or not) has already directed him to this thread and I hope nothing said here has upset him.......this forum already has a mixed rep among providers.......note that for an apparently very busy guy, he even only has four reviews on RM over at least five years......that's discretion!.....I suppose some cynics will question why then does he show his face; I don't have an answer for that....
any further discussion should be between client and Max only......unless he suddenly becomes an ax murderer, the usual salacious details we all beg for (!) shouldn't be posted here!.....thanks.......

My office has a corporate deal with The Time Hotel on w49th/Broadway. Nice hotel with a gym. But guest get free passes to the TMPL Gym right down the street. Oh my god...the gayest gym on the planet. Now here is the deal. The steam room and sauna are just outside the pool. Both CO-ED. Signs everywhere. You must wear swim suits to enter either one. The guys ignore it. I see men coming down the stairs wearing nothing but a towel all the time. The real action takes place in the shower area which is very private and unbelievably cruisy. I must admit...hotties, everywhere looking to misbehave. Terp

If Max is "fairly interactive" and the guy in the pics is the one that shows up...then there are plenty of people who will pay the $500. Quality will always demand a premium price.
