I know it as an over-the-counter mouthwash/rinse for dry mouth and throat. My dentist prescribed it to me for such purposes. My experience is that it can provide very short relief but only that. I'm not sure how it applies to this conversation.

Thank you for this. All along I have probably had the best preventive measure in my medicine cabinet: Doxy PEP. I surely understand the concern around overuse and superbugs. In my case use will be quite infrequent, and my best judgement tells me I will not be contributing to antibiotic resistance.

I had to look it up. VPL is not only "visible panty line" but can now refer to "visible penis line"!
