My statement on high-end hotels remains something I firmly believe: While I'd never say it was failsafe, it's a lot smarter than going to the La Quinta if you're in a red-alert area.
 
Your best bet remains going with a reviewed, vetted escort. In nearly every story I hear of LE nabbing someone, there are always a ton of red flags that were repeatedly ignored. Use your head... Don't be a statistic.

I'm soooo looking forward to this!! I was originally coming in on Thursday, April 12 and leaving Tuesday, April 17 but I've extended my trip to Saturday, April 21. I just booked my flights (yes, on Delta - the cheapest option was to fly to PSP instead of LAX/ONT, and it was cheaper by $100 than JetBlue, with better flight times). I arrive in PSP on Thursday around 4. I will have a car and am staying at INNdulge. If you arrive at the airport around the same time, I'm happy to cart your butt to your hotel. I'm also happy to offer rides as I'm able.
 
The last time I posted about my plans on this thread, I told you my schedule was full from the 12th to the 17th. My choice to extend my trip was mostly because I used to live in PS and will want to see some friends and enjoy the weather (and the continuing celebration of my 40th bday). My schedule remains full until the 17th, but I'm happy to accept appointments during the rest of my stay, albeit on a limited basis. If you'd like to plan some time with me, please feel free to contact me!

Otherwise, the list above is a great help in finding accommodations. Also, for those of you who may be flying in, PSP airport may be expensive, you may want to consider ONT, SNA, LAX as alternative gateways. Depending on your day/time of your arrival driving from SNA or LAX may be challenging.
 
I did find a connecting flight from PHX to PSP that was reasonable and flying into PHX is relatively affordable.

Hi everyone, long time. Hope all is well and looking forward to trying to come to this years Palm Springs event.
I was just in PS and had a great time and eager to return for more hiking then saw it coincided with this.

Regarding the Saturday evening dinner, I would like to make a clarifying comment for any of you newbies planning on attending. If you have never visited Palm Springs please understand that the standard dress there is California resort CASUAL. If you want to wear shorts to the dinner - great. I don't because I have skinny legs and thus I wear jeans.

Please mark your calendars for the Weekend – April 14 and 15, 2018. Specifics will not be posted here, in order to preserve confidentiality. Therefore, if you are serious about attending this year’s events, please send me an e-mail (if you know it) or “private message” with your return e-mail address so that I may send you the pertinent information as it unfolds. Your confidential information will be respected, as I expect mine to be.

The first order of business will be dinner reservations, followed by RSVP’s for the pool gathering at my temporary residence. If you will be bringing a “guest”, please tell me who. That information will also be kept confidential, unless you say otherwise. Attendance by escorts (by themselves or as someone's guest) is greatly encouraged.

If you will be coming from out-of-town and need accommodations, you should arrange for those ASAP, if you have not already. There have been several suggestions put forth in the previous thread concerning possible accommodations.

I have never done a cruise with an escort and have no intention of doing one. The space, for me at least, is simply to confined. I have and do travel with an escort on a regular basis.
