For the most part, even avid movie fans have little interest in the awards, but there is a brisk gambling portion that brings some viewers to the show.  Acceptance speeches run the gamut from horrible to terrible.  A simple, thank you as Alfred Hitchcock uttered when receiving an award for people who should have won an award but never did.   
I would love to see someone go up say: "Thank you to all the people who made this possible my family, friends, mentors and colleagues" and then sit down.  That person would be the most popular winner of them all.

David SF has, in the past, had a small get together at this home the afternoon of the Friday before the Saturday dinner.  It gives people a chance to meet and get into the spirit of the weekend.  It seems that David is not doing that this year and If there is interest, I would consider having it at my home.  So if you would be interested in attending, let me know and if there is sufficient interest I will decide.   
Please send me a note on this forum's mail.  I will wait a week to see if it seems a worthwhile endeavor as I would have to make arrangements for food and drinks.  I do have a pool and hot tub which would be open if there is interest.  

Please mark your calendars for the Weekend – April 11 and 12, 2026.  Specifics will not be posted here, in order to preserve confidentiality.  Therefore, if you are serious about attending this year’s events, please send an e-mail to me (if you know my address) or a “private message” with your return e-mail address so that I may send you the pertinent information as it unfolds.  Your confidential information will be respected, as I expect mine to be.
 The first order of business will be Saturday dinner reservations at a local contemporary restaurant, followed by RSVP’s for the Sunday pool gathering at my temporary residence, hosted by sam.fitzpatrick and nate_sf.  You will be asked to prepay the dinner fee prior to the event via either PayPal or Venmo (instructions will be sent later).
 If you will be bringing a “guest”, please tell me who. That information will also be kept confidential, unless you say otherwise. Attendance by escorts (by themselves or as someone's guest) is greatly encouraged.

If you will be coming from out-of-town and need accommodations, you should arrange for those ASAP, if you have not already. There have been several suggestions put forth in previous threads concerning possible accommodations.

Again, the dinner will be early Saturday evening, April 11, and the pool gathering will be in the afternoon of Sunday, April 12.

Hey guys, I’ve been in Boston since Thursday and since then I’ve had more than 5 fake appointments. Two guys had been talking with me for over two weeks, but on the day we were supposed to meet they just blocked me on RM or stopped replying.
Another supposed client even ordered an Uber for me — he sent me a screenshot saying it would arrive in 3 minutes — but I waited more than 25 minutes and nothing showed up. After that, he also stopped responding, so clearly that one was fake too.
I’ve traveled a lot and never experienced this many fake appointments in just 3–4 days. Has anyone else heard about this happening in Boston?

I embraced the 'provider' nomenclature early on because the word 'escort' had become so obviously and comically 'wink-wink-nudge-nudge' and I thought a more discreet word should be adopted.....'provider' is much more neutral, generic, respectful, and safer-sounding from a legal angle......of course, the word 'escort' was appropriated several decades ago to discreetly cover up what was really going on and, now, has lost much of its historic meaning......  

I think the answer is always variable.  Individuals by nature are all different - on this massage board we have individuals that are extroverted and others are introverted.  When meeting with a client/provider, the best advice is two things - be yourself and do not create a false persona that you will need to support in future meetings.    If you are naturally quiet, don't force yourself into talking and sharing information.  If you are naturally a sharing person, be yourself, (but trust your "spidey-senses" and limit your sharing if something doesn't seem to be on the up and up.)
If you are asked something you are not comfortable answering, just say so.

We had a very nice, large room at the Residence Inn on Sixth Avenue about 39th st. It ran just under $400 and included a good breakfast.

Excuse me for starting a new Johnsons thread; but, all of the existing threads dedicated solely to the Ft Lauderdale/Wilton Manors location have expired.
I spent Christmas evening at Johnsons Ft Lauderdale.  It was a fantastic time! 
I entered just before 8pm, and was a little apprehensive about the new ownership and rumored changes.  Except for one minor hiccup (they were low on ice early in the evening; and, it was humorous watching the several older owners quibble about who is going to run to 7/11 to get more ice), everything seemed to operate as normal before Matt's (the former owner) departure.  The drinks are still lower priced than any other gay bar on Wilton Drive.  That alone is reason to visit if in the area.
The sign displaying each woman must be accompanied by a man was still prominently displayed, and it was much appreciated.
Being a Thursday and Christmas, the club was very slow.  However, the 20/80 rule applies.  Just like 20% of the pods produce 80% of the peas, so to does 20% of the customers generate 80% of the income.  The club on Christmas was frequented mostly by its regular, established, clientele who tipped prominently and the lap dance area was always full... Despite the tables being mostly empty.  Only 1 female was present all night; and, she behaved herself and made no loud squealing noises and tipped the dances and left before too long.
There was a mix of white and latin men, and one Asian man.  Several of the dancers recognized me from my last visit months ago.  I had especially fun time with Jackson from Colorado and Calvin from Bogata, Columbia.  I had private dances with about 5 of the dancers, and only 1 (John... Not to be confused with Johnny) tried to claim he danced for 5 songs instead of 2.  Thankfully, Johnsons does a great job of announcing when each and every song starts, so I knew it was only 2 songs.
It was the 2nd best Christmas Day of my life (the first was sex on the top deck of a cruis ship Christmas night; but, that's another story).  We'll see if LeBoy can steel my away tomorrow night 😊 

Left a very wet Las Vegas on Christmas Eve, flew by Santa on the red eye, now in sunny Wilton Manors 79F for Christmas Day.  A Happy Christmas indeed!
