From now on, I’m going to be very disappointed with any escort who doesn’t offer a to-go container of unholy shower water.

i met up with pj based on your review. completely agree with you that he is a very good masseur with a nice space for massage. he kept it very quiet, but there were nice sensual / erotic elements. not a clockwatcher. sexy, buff guy, warm personality. will definitely schedule a session with him again.
thanks for your review and the recommendation! pj is a good one!

Met with him earlier today, and would definitely recommend. Frankly surprised he doesn't have any reviews on RM since it's one of the better experiences I've had in the last year. He's approachable and looks like his RM pics. He has a dedicated space in his apartment with a table, candles, and soft music, so it's actually easy to relax. He really wants you to feel at ease, and said his preferred mode is to not speak a lot so the client can melt into the table (but he is open to chat if that's what you prefer). I asked for a sensual massage, which he explained the parameters of before we got started, and it included MT and HE. The whole experience was definitely more relaxing than therapeutic, so I wouldn't go in expecting deep tissue. But an overall solid experience.

Yea, that's your folly. You seem to think you have the definitive answer for everyone. You've seemingly impressed yourself with what you think is "correct" and decided that's the end of the topic. Discounting anyone else that doesn't align with your POV. Thankfully, no one sees you the way you see yourself...well maybe your cats do.

Marc in Calif got a reaction from spaman in NYC - Massage Parlors w/ Older Masseurs
The OP was NOT looking for spas with "a significant stable of older massage therapists."
He asked "if any of you know of any parlors in NYC that have guys 40+." He never said that the place had to have more than one or two older guys. No stables needed.
And other members then answered in the affirmative with names of spas in NYC.

I think Pubic Assistsnce (and I) have been shown to be correct. No one has named a spa with a significant stable of older massage therapists.
Time to retire this thread? Yes, pun intended.

Not sure who wrote it, but the "Karens are out in force" comment made me laugh.
1.) We're really still using the term Massage Parlor? Is Mae West running them? You'll have to Google that name Gen XYZ or whatever you are.
2.) To Pubic_Assistance, I'm older and your comments don't indicate anything to me except ignorance. And guess what? I have below zero interest in young guys. It's like eating green cantaloupe. It will be fascinating to see how you are dressing and behaving should you be lucky enough to get to be a "fetish" or "old food" of being older.
3.) To answer the original poster's questions. There are older massage men out there. Two of them that immediately come to mind are Rob_CMT who used to live in NYC. And Hud who used to live in Chicago. They are on RMasseur and MasseurFinder when they work. Both are traveling massage men now, and I can say with confidence that as far as massage goes, there is no young guy or even slightly older than 40 guys that can come close to their massage styles...they are mind blowing massage men. If there are better older massage guys than these two, i'd like to know about them. Seriously, please forward their names to me. Older men are not a fetish, and they (we) can be very hot.
4.)To the original poster. Ignore the haters. I am grateful to be recognized as a Daddy in the community and I turn down young guys with regularity...again, "green cantaloupe". I get more offers for hooking up now than I did when I was in my 20s, 30's and 40's
5.) Ok, i need to get ready for bed...can someone help me with my casket-bed? I'm so old. Lol

OP is asking for recommendations for older masseurs, and here you are on your soapbox spewing bullshit. You're like the vegan lady with dreadlocks meme. Stop trying so hard.
Yeah older masseurs are rarer shut up about that. No one cares about your "this is reality" rant. We're here looking for something specific. Contribute.

No one "argued against" your fetish.
Besides you got a few suggestions from others who seems to be more observant than I am about scrounging up old men for hire. So your request did get results. No need to squabble over whether of not you enjoyed my contribution to the conversation. There's a block feature available if you dislike my delivery style. No need to be such a Karen about it.

Actually all of your points have little to do with the subject at hand. I was asking for older masseurs and you chime in with insults about older people. You can go back and read your posts if you want to. I don't understand how you can't see the whole intent of my posting. I literally said in my VERY FIRST post that MOST PEOPLE are into younger guys and MOST PARLORS have those younger guys, but I was asking if anyone knew of parlors and/or masseurs who didn't fit that stereotype. No one is (or ever was) arguing against the fact that most people are looking for younger guys. Your logic to chime in and remind me of something I already stated in my original post is unnecessary.
And while we're not discussing *specifically* gay men, you are talking *directly* to other gay men, and you should do so with respect and refrain from insults, especially toward people who fought their entire lives to simply exist. And these parlors exist for gay, bi, and questioning men to experience physical touch, and some of us need that. Not just want that, but need that. So when you argue against someone simply looking for a niche variation of what's normally offered, and you don't have any recommends, you can simply keep your mouth shut. All that to say, you need to grow up.
-
Marc in Calif reacted to pubic_assistance in NYC - Massage Parlors w/ Older Masseurs
I think you're missing the point of this entire conversation.
We aren't discussing the general public of gay men.
We are discussing the massage industry as it is marketed to gay men at massage parlors.
All your comments above are all lovely and granola and all...but they have little to do with the subject at hand.
90% of everyone here is looking for YOUNG, cute guys to hire. Simple fact of life.
If I wanted some old man to touch me, I wouldn't be paying for it.
The definition of a fetish is something that is very specific that turns on a very small segment of a community. That's what you're asking about. A specific interest that most people don't get into. Nothing insulting about it. It is what it is.
So if you like old masseurs, by all means GO FOR IT ! 🥳
Seems like a few members managed to scrounge up some examples of what you want inspite of the rarity. So thanks to all who know which corners of the industry to look in.

Thanks so much! I really love Masseur Finder and the others. I hope the implications in my original post showed that I do know finding an older guy in a parlour is rare, which is why I decided to create a topic listing to do a broader search to see if anyone has specific experience with older guys at any of the parlors (they do). It's not lost on me that most older guys also probably care more about their reputation and are smart enough to want to keep their own money (which is something younger guys aren't thinking through just yet). This is the same reason why younger guys are more prevalent in porn, but it also speaks to the larger demand of people who prefer to look at and pretend to be adored by youthful looking people. One doesn't need to do too deep of a dive to recognize why this is, specifically in America.
Anyway, to everyone who has messaged, thank you. Keep messaging me and I'll post regular updates.
And to @pubic_assistance -- I hope you understand that when you're talking within your community of other gay men (or queer, however you want to identify this group), you should recognize that our bond is special and should be protected. To liken older people to stale bread, old food, or just a fetish is so beyond insulting to the people who quite literally had to fight for their lives to exist. They are beautiful and should be respected, not made fun of. It saddens me you can't see this.
Maybe you're afraid of growing old, maybe you resent being older, I don't know. But whatever it is, I hope you can try and heal whatever is inside of you that makes you feel entitled to be negative. I hope that when/if you are older, you will be shown love and respect by people of all ages.

The conversation here is about older providers AT MASSAGE PARLORS (or whatever those businesses are supposed to be called). NOT guys on the apps. I am well aware that there are PLENTY of old daddy types on the sites.
My impression at the "parlors" throughout New York is that *young and cute* is ALWAYS who's sitting up front because that's what sells !! I have, however, been proven wrong over-all as others have mentioned a few places that have an old man or two. But I would point out this is by far, still the exception to the rule, so my "ignorance" as you call it is a matter of paying attention to the conversation and not wandering off on a tangent.
The result of the thread is that there's exception to every rule. There's a few oldie but goodies scattered here and there at the "Men's Spa" massage places. Probably hiding in the back because I've never seen one.

One interesting thing that DOES NOT happen in a whole slew of recent queer-ish cinema, most anchored in the past, is that the boy DOES NOT get the boy. At least, not legally.
Saltburn is unclear about everything, and has no real point. Including about its homoeroticism. But you can make an argument that the unrequited lust and obsession a guy feels towards a guy is part of the problem. Who can't relate to wanting to be fucked by Jacob Elordi? Or at least lick up his cum from a bath tub? 🤔
We followed the same path with Fellow Travelers, Maestro, and My Policeman. Among others. It is mostly a grim picture of the emotional, social, and marital consequences of a guy having to get the girl. Because he can't have the boy he really wanted.
If this is in fact a trend, it underscores a very important point. Something very big did happen. We won same sex marriage. Some of this may be that we can now look back at how many lives were ruined by discrimination and an intolerance for queer love.

Overlong and poorly written. C-
Afterward, I imdb'd it and saw it's from the same director and writer who did the poorly written Promising Young Woman, so that tracks.

The sad thing is Sears was a pioneer in online services, including shopping. They were one of three partners (CBS and IBM being the other two) who founded Prodigy in 1983. For those who don't remember, Prodigy was the first consumer-oriented online service providers. While CompuServ offered service using a command-line interface, Prodigy offered a GUI. A Prodigy user could even shop from the Sears catalog.
Shutting down the catalog and its related infrastructure in 1993 was a bad move. Had they kept the catalog business, they would have been prepared to compete with the likes of Amazon. Frankly, Jeff Bezos owes his fortune to the mistakes made by Sears.
Back in the early 2000's, Sears started offering buy online/pickup in store shopping. It was great. It also got shut down after Eddie Lampert (a/k/a Fast Eddie) got his hands on Sears. Fast Eddie wanted Sears for its real estate, not because he wanted to run a department store. He transferred the real estate to a different company (that he owned) and Sears "rented" it from that company.
The story @samhexum copied/pasted omitted something about Transformco, the company that "acquired" Sears out of bankruptcy. It is owned by Eddie Lampert and was formed to buy Sears and KMart stores that were not being liquidated.
But, back to the topic. Way back in the day, I loved accompanying my dad on journeys to the Sears paint and tool departments. We divided our Sears shopping between the historic Six Corners store on Chicago's Northwest Side and the one at Golf Mill in Niles, IL. We would also shop at the massive Woodfield store when the family took an outing to the mall. That was back when Sears was a department store and not just a means for a hedge fund owner to use financial gymnastics to bleed the company dry.
