Interesting thread. The only posters that say they've met him have very few posts to their credit. Yes, you have to start somewhere but when the only posts come from them, and one protests bit much, well.......
The guy takes the name of pornstar who had enough career to photos and an easily found real name with some semi-recent social media; so you could see he wasn't the guy. The OF sounds like the most scammy type---very brief, poorly shot videos, so whole thing sounds like a grift and hardly worth 3 threads.
There was enough initial interest in this guy that there seemed to be some unicorn hunting behavior---despite plenty of warning, there's always someone who wants guys with negative leading experiences or questionable supporters hoping they'll be lucky. Usually, they're not and it's better to save your money.
My 2 cents on Atlanta: I used to live there and have frequently returned for work.  It may be similar in size to other cities, but it's , eh Atlanta. There usually have been a small number of credible, reasonably long-term guys, but also quite a few who come and go (w/o much credibility) and and many who don't last long or simply not very good or reliable. Atlanta is very transient, esp. among younger people. It's also frankly kind of grifter-ish with lots of would-be entrepreneurs chasing a fast buck and looking for people who are ultimately bigger suckers than they are. It also has a poor reputation among traveling guys---fewer and less lucrative customers than they expect.

I think it's more typical to be a trainer or go into real estate than to be a lawyer. Some go back to the kinds of jobs they had beforehand--hospitality, bartending, haircutting.  Some comeback after having done physical training and real estate.  What most of these have in common is that they are Plan-B occupations.

Saw him ages ago--one of my first hires. He was truly professional in every respect and provided a good experience.  Sounds like he's continued to maintain this.

At least he’s alive. I recall him being a hot mess. The only escort I know of who attended my high high school—not exactly a qualification.

He's been discussed in passing, mostly. I saw him a coupe years ago when he was in NYC. He subsequently moved to Florida and was doing OF rather than RM. He's witty, engaging and versatile--a good BFE in my experience.  His ad seems more fetish-oriented than in the past and i can't comment on that.  He still has OF, as well as Twitter/X, so you can get some idea what he does. He also has an interview with MasculineJason (irritating interviewer but interesting interviewees) and Demystifying Gay Porn

he's very clear about what he wants. The fin-dom thing makes me think he's absorbed something that's very common in Atlanta---being a grifter looking for suckers. The grifters often are suckers themselves, but that shouldn't distract us from the grift. he probably thinks he's being "honest" about wanting to screw with people and come out ahead, but it's just a grift and there's no reason to treat it as anything else.

The period between Thanksgiving and Christmas is a frequent time for escorts to travel, so availability may be an issue.
Bodybuilders sometimes are limited in what they will do and at least one of your guys (JakeTylerVegas) has "ask me" for orientation and position. So I would further second your being clear about expectations.
My starting place with any provider is the question of whether they have a coherent identity---do the pics match what they say about themselves and what they seem likely to do. Newbies  often don't have a lot of pics but still---for example, tops should have a dick pic; bottoms should have an ass pic; if they do fetishes not all of them should be shown--there should be a state. Also, do they describe who they are and at least some of what they do--if it's all about "high class", etc. that doesn't help and guys who trade on some sort of social status often are just trying to justify a higher price.

A number of years ago, when agencies still existed, I tracked turnover among their providers over the course of a couple years. One thing that stood out was almost half the new guys didn't last a month. Anecdotally, I've noticed that to be a constant over time and I avoid anyone new.  The couple times I did hire new guys, they seemed very disorganized (I may have been their 1st clients in both cases), asking for more time, pics, etc.) which frankly took away some of the desire on my part. So....if someone is truly new, I give them a pass. Let someone else train them up and if they stick around at least a month, I have some faith that they making a go of this. Younger guys (those under about 25) also tend to be less organized as business people--they forget the lube, don't understand how different kinds of cities work, etc. I'm glad I'm not usually drawn to twinks.
What's also clear is that if someone leaves the business, they often return, but frequently it's not for long. Again, I wait to see if they're committed to their comeback tour.
My guess is that many guys have an exit strategy--they plan to do this for a fixed length of time or until they build a nest egg or pay off a debt. A very small number truly make it a profession and many fairly long-term guys have something else going on---they may be writers, artists, students, etc.
