Hotels, Security, Initial Meet Location?

I cut way back on traveling for the past 10 years, but now becoming more active. Historically, there came a soft knock on my hotel room door, meaning my guest had arrived. And, if I stayed on a limited access floor, or if they heightened security at night, a rentguy balked at the need to meet in the lobby, casino, or.....?

I was in Las Vegas recently. Returning soon. No access to elevators without a guest room key. I'm sure heightened security is affecting more than LV.... (Here in SF, 5+ years now, no access to any business office high rises without employee ID or security check-in.)

So I'm wondering how or where rentguys prefer to meet hotel clients when they can't just go directly to the room. And, similar question for hotel hosting when security restricts clients' access to hotel rooms.

I’m not a professional companion, but when I hire in a location with secure floors, I usually communicate this to the companion ahead of time. We coordinate via text message and usually meet in the lobby (sometimes there is a Starbucks or restaurant/shop we can use as assembly point). Then we just head to the room together. Nothing weird or strange about that - have never been pestered by security or other guests.

I prefer meeting in the lobby. It makes the transition into "work" time easier. I believe this can settle nerves as I obviously look like my photos. Also what scammer would do an in call and meet in the lobby? Likely not many. I stay in hotels that require a keycard so it works very well for me. I have had regulars work the system and catch a ride up to my floor with another guest also.

Just as additional info... I have no personal or discretion-based concerns about Lobby meets. I actually prefer it. In addition to possible security enhancement and identity/photo-accuracy verification, I just like the extra anticipation of watching how a guy carries himself walking through the public space.

Its just that, 12+ years ago, and earlier, several guys hesitated at the idea of meeting me in tbe lobby, and a few said "never mind." Perhaps I successfully avoided some scammers......

There seems to be more positives than negatives with a hotel meet. If a provider doesn't want to put in the small amount of effort to go down to the lobby, what makes you think he will go the extra mile during your visit with him? Just a thought.

I’ve made a sort of game out of this for me. I exchange texts with the provider like I am in my room, when I’m actually in the lobby. Then I go up the elevator with him still not introducing myself. Sometimes I wait until the last minute, like after he has knocked on my door, before I take out my keycard and open the door.

I recently went through this a couple weeks ago. I pulled up and texted the guy that I had arrived at his hotel. I assumed he would come down to get me but it took him 10 min to respond to me. I ended up going up in the elevator without realizing I needed a key. A couple of people in the elevator scanned me in and I guessed a floor that he was on. Totally wrong floor, he texted me and said he was on his way down....long story short. I ended up taking the stairs from 3rd to 8th floor exhausted. I get to his door and he comes out of the elevator...the experience with him was ok, but I wish I had known that the hotel was like that. I would have just sat in the lobby or waited in the car. Usually when I see a guy they give me the layout and tell me to go up. This was totally new to me having to have a key to ride the elevator. Worst time was the time I was in the wrong hotel all together. It was funny...I'm all trying to find a room and he texted me and said I'm not in that hotel. Even crazier was the fact that he was in a private condo with access from an elevator on a street corner. He told me that most of his clients have a hard time finding him. His condo was amazing....I never would have guessed it from the elevator on the street corner.

Test me! I think I could sniff you out! Heightened spatial awareness is a talent of mine. I read people and body language. I challenge you!

Staying incognito is a talent of mine. lol

I’ve long been interested in meeting you. I’m seeing your ad for my city in June. But I think our position preferences don’t match.

Why would you make a game out of this? How do the guys react when you pull this stunt?

For me security, door men, valet parking are all deal breakers.

I just drove away from a very attractive masseur’s condo because I had to register at the desk.

I can sympathize with that.

About 9 months ago I went to a guy’s high rise apartment and he simply said “come on up to Apt xxx”.

1) He told me there was parking in the building- there wasn’t, 2) I walked in and there was a security desk and I had to GIVE them my driver’s license to hold and have my photo taken, 3) be escorted by a guard up to the apartment of the guy who’s last name I didn’t know, and, 4) the guard and I shared some quality time standing in the hallway while the guy finished showering and getting dressed.

On top of it all he left our meeting halfway thru to go to the roof to smoke some weed for his PTSD just as his unexpected roommate walked in.

(Wow... I thought it would be funny in retrospect but it really isn’t.)

Very unprofessional of him...

Escorts and folks on other activities dealing with other's lives and time should have their shit together.

There was a Belgian escort who would NOT tell his clients the room number where he was staying... In HIS case it was nothing but a control issue and a taste of things to come while hiring him.

I ask if I need a key to come up, even if the guys says he has to meet me downstairs, I always say what if I tailgate, what's your room number. I simply need go know where am I going to.

One more thing I don't know of any escort who would randomly go to a hotel room without knowing the room number in case he can tailgate.

Keycards making lobby meets necessary is the best thing ever. Safety and verification. Also a few I stay at I know the guys waiting on a young guy they take upstairs are doing it too. Love the blushes.

Why? Yinz love going upstairs and folks knowing you're paying for sex?

Its a catch 22, I'm all for heightened security, doormen, card keys to hotels, as it provides a safer experience for both parties. Although does anyone get a little shy/paranoid meeting downstairs and feeling like everyone is looking at you and thinking they know this young kid is about to go upstairs and have sex with this older hot gentlemen, kinda hot in a way lol. I always feels weird meeting someone after midnight and having to say my name to a doormen after midnight lol :p

If the doormen are hot you could always thank them in a special way on your way out......................:p

No violent reactions so far. Most seemed surprised when I open the door with my keycard.

Some say they somehow knew I was the client. They probably had Victor’s Power - the “heightened spatial awareness”

You still have not explained why you pull such a stunt on these providers in the first place.

It’s almost akin to stalking someone. You follow a guy through a hotel, ride up on the elevator, follow him down a hallway, then surprise! and open the door he’s about to knock upon. I don’t get it. Why place the provider in such an awkward situation? What purpose does this serve other than some dominance game?
