It's also clever from a legal point of view for a couple of reasons: 1)he does not show his face; 2)he does not say what he will do, only what he will not do - leaving the viewer to guess what he does. Prosecution would be difficult.

It is indeed a trend. I just checked BP DC and most of the guys have a screen shot amongst their pictures, with the list of the services they offer.
