Why would a nice looking man place an ad offering escort services and then refuse to respond to a text expressing interest? Is there some logic here that I am completely missing? I hire several times a year and have always treated escorts with a great deal of respect.

Perhaps he is ill or something came up? Maybe he partied (or is partying) in New Orleans or somewhere else that celebrates Mardi Gras. Nothing to do with you.

It just happened to me. First approach looked great, and suddenly POOF, ghosted.

Of course there is always a logical explanation, we just do not have all the information. My guts always tell me in these situations that it is probably better for my self-esteem to remain ignorant.

Had a similar situation recently with a RM escort in the Boston area. Literally took him weeks to respond to me after a couple of attempts. When he finally did respond, he seemed eager to meet, but it became difficult to pin him down to a day and time. Feeling frustrated, I pointed out to him that his elusiveness wasn't at all attractive and he became defensive. His main defense was that he worked full time, was a very active guy and he had a large family(???). When I told him that I was giving up trying to meet him, he accused me of having a bad attitude.

A polite way of saying many under 30 are rude, but they are merely the product of the culture that shapes them?[/quote.

I can almost hear my sought after escort singing a snappy tune....

And that's about the time she walked away from me

Nobody likes you when you're 23

And are still more amused by TV shows

What the hell is ADD?

My friends say I should act my age

What's my age again?

What's my age again?

I've contacted a few guys via RM email, and a couple by text with a brief description of myself to ascertain interest. Most have very kindly responded. Just a few never did. I simply figure those who don't respond, are answering not interested. Sometimes, what's not said says more.

The escort may not have a manager and may be working at the time or prepping. In Europe and with many foreign-born escorts here it's common to have a manager who sets schedules and can speak English well. This leaves the better guys to spend their time more profitably. Managers usually place and switch around ads and arrange hotels too. 15% is a bargain and some top ones only pay 10% while ones involving more work pay 20%.

Just today two of us on here were talking about the big manager in Prague who manages maybe 30 or 40 top guys, including many BelAmi guys. Since he's sent most of them to Switzerland to work for more money he's bought a new car and him and his wife just took a Thai vacation.

Many English-speaking Americans do without a manager (or he could have a lazy one). If the guy's clearly winging it on his on, try texting about 1o minutes before any working hour. That's when clients are usually gone. But unless you've contacted without committing already, it's not you. It's them. Some of these guys are not organized.

You got lucky.

The guy eventually let his "real" personality be known to you before you two got together and it would have cost you money to find out how difficult he is.

Pimp?!? Lmao... let’s not be so naive here. There is a HUGE difference between a pimp and a manager/agent. A pimp isn’t taking 10-20% of your earnings.. they’re taking 100%. You are forced to work and if you don’t you have the shit beaten out of you. Pimps prey on the mentally vulnerable, brainwash them, and reap the benefits with no real work on their part. You still find your own clients and do all of the work you were doing before and NOW you’re giving it all away.

A manager is posting your ads, finding your clients, keeping you organized, and charging a small fee in exchange. They’re actually working FOR YOU. You can fire them and move on at any time. Let’s not forget to mention YOU choose when you work. No one is forcing you to be on the clock or out looking for work.

Pimps are not good people. I’ve encountered many, and no I have not ever nor will I ever work for one. I’ve had many friends who have been pimped, as well as several working for agencies. I can’t even associate with any escorts working for pimps anymore because it is so emotionally and mentally draining. Pimps and managers... BIG DIFFERENCE!

You’re only a product of the culture if you allow yourself to be. Most people over AND under 30 are brainwashed by the society we live in. Sad but true.

Very true. Most people are lemmings unable to think for themselves, unfortunately... They need others to tell them what to think, what to like, & even what to believe in... it's not even sad anymore, it's pathetic. Especially in the world of politics these days

Exactly why my mounted TV is for decoration and does not get used or even have cable. I am against all media unless it is work related :D
