Hey guys - so I have a rather odd spit-related question. I've been into having guys spit at me for a while now - so amazingly erotic and also so goofy/kinky/rebellious lol. I've never really given much of a thought to health concerns with it - with guys that have I've always said that we swap enough saliva when we make out that I can't imagine direct spitting is any riskier than that. And I do still believe that. 

Well, I spent some time this past fall with a case of walking pneumonia - no, this was NOT a result of spit play, etc - but it happened. I'm fine now. But as I watch these amazing pics and clips in this thread, I also now have a sort of caveat in my head - should I be doing stuff like that when airborn infections seem particularly rampant? (I did avoid spit play during covid of course). I don't want to lose my passion for the kink, and I still believe that it's probably not any more contagious than anything else, but I've also been a little less willing to seek out any spit play. What do you all think? Is this just an irrational (if understandable) fear after actually getting an awful respiratory illness, or do we think spitting can be riskier than I've always thought?

It depends on which head is thinking.  With me the lower one always wins.  That said, contagion is always on my mind when I have post cum clarity.  You just have to size up or trust your partner.

This could be a great reason to have a prescription for DoxyPep.   Any thoughts about that ?  BTW, I love it when the Dom spits into my mouth.

Isn't that for standard STD's? Would it work for respiratory illnesses?

As I understand it, Doxy is an effective antibiotic against lots of bacterial disease, including respiratory ailments.   Wouldn't hurt to verify that with a medical professional, of course.

Many respiratory diseases are viral (some in both senses of the word).

I confess that for all of my adult life I've been an enthusiastic sperm swallower lol. It's tough for me to imagine giving head without going all the way. I am HIV negative (which either means I've somehow avoided HIV or swallowing is safer than some may suspect. I'm not into receiving anal, which I've always felt might be the difference). WS has never interested me. But spit does have its sensuality, sexiness, and rawness. 

In some respects you're right - any intimate contact between people can mean catching something from someone, so any sex has its risk. But there are risks, and then there are risks.
