that FIXER UPPER will be ending after its upcoming 5th season on HGTV?

I've never watched the show. I have heard that no gay couples have ever been featured & that Chip & Joanna are uber-religious, part of the reason I've never had any interest.

All I know is that I'm still reeling and trying to recover from the heartbreaking news that Tarek & Christina El-Moussa are divorcing. My faith in love has been destroyed!!! I'm trying to put on a brave face and move forward in my life.

I stopped watching Fixer Upper a while ago, because I got tired of Chip and Joanna, and of Waco. I also found Joanna's style choices predictable and not ones that appealed to me. But the break-up of Tarek and Christina has shaken me profoundly. Their relationship seemed refreshingly believable, and to learn what was going on behind the scenes made me question my own perspicacity. As a southern California real estate lover, I also enjoyed watching the variety of places they flipped.

RE: FLIP OR FLOP: Frank, one of their contractors, is battling multiple forms of cancer.

On a lighter note, it's kind of fun trying to see if there's anything in their occasional looks at each other and comments in the shows filmed after the separation.

I like the format that Chip and Joanna follow, and I was/am impressed with their strategies and results. However, I'm more inclined to watch the beginning, then go and come back to it. It's my failing, Chip's incessant, inane babbling gets on my nerves almost immediately.

I'm not interested in watching a conservative, Baptist happy couple from Waco, and their ilk. I'm not even judging. It's just that I find difficult enjoying folks who consider me a problem or a zoo animal, etc.

I was quite sorry about Tarek and Christina. Tarek is hot and they do houses all around where I live so it strikes a chord with me. Love that show.

I stopped watching when they did a home for a pastor and his wife from their church who been in Uganda for three years doing "God's Work" as missionaries. That same week I saw a documentary on the BBC on the persecution and murder of Gays in Uganda, and the role American missionaries played in inciting the violence. At that point I stopped being able enjoy the show.

More proof: the Baptist church I grew up in, where there was apparently less controversy about becoming a Welcoming, Open and Affirming church than a friend's Unitarian Universalist church in Arlington, VA. The church's gay-friendly policies were adopted in 1998.

Tight shirt for the reveal tonight. Yum! Ashley walked around in shorts and a skimpy top at times during the first two episodes. If they want higher ratings, he oughta try the same wardrobe choices.

I kept forgetting to check this out. My favorite has been first time flippers, to see how much stuff even I know better than to do.

Christina El Moussa is getting a spinoff show called “Christina on the Coast” — but says she expects to do another season of “Flip or Flop” with her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa.

“Who said it was the last season?” El Moussa told The Post about “Flip or Flop,” currently airing its seventh season. “I don’t think it is. If I have a crystal ball, I think you’re going to see more ‘Flip or Flop.’”

Christina and Tarek’s much-publicized breakup — they separated two years ago and were officially divorced in January — has been a boon to their HGTV series, Christina said.

“The ratings have been really strong and both Tarek and I would be excited to do another season,” she said.

HGTV, for its part, says it’s “in discussions with Tarek and Christina about another season of ‘Flip or Flop.’”

Is there a chance Tarek will appear on her new show?

“I don’t know,” she says. “That’s a good question. I really haven’t thought about that yet, but I would say never say never.”

She expects to shoot “Christina on the Coast” simultaneously with “Flip or Flop.” The new series, premiering next year, will follow Christina as she sells her home in Yorba Linda, Calif. and moves into new digs in Newport Beach.

“I sold my house in Yorba Linda a couple of months ago; I’m actually renting a beach house for now and I closed escrow on my new home in Newport Beach last week,” she says. “I start [working] on the floors on Friday. Viewers will see the process of me selling the Yorba Linda house and on the house hunt to find this new home.

“You’re going to see a lot more design, a lot more of my taste” on “Christina on the Coast,” she says. “I’ll also be helping other homeowners and really getting much more into detail and style.”

The new series will also follow Christina’s romance with British TV host Ant Anstead, 39, who also lives in Newport Beach — and will include Brayden, 3 and Taylor, 8, her two children with Tarek.

“I think the kids used to be on more when Taylor was younger because she wasn’t in school,” she says. “It’s different now that she’s in school full time. They’re a part of my house-hunting process; I wanted their seal of approval and wanted them to get really excited about moving. Taylor is moving schools and I really wanted to include her in that.”
