Good Grief, please don't make your decision based on some of the remarks made in jest in this thread. Believe me, I am a very conservative person (sometimes I wish I were not). Last year was the first year that I attended the Palm Springs event. The events I attended were so subdued I was sort of disappointed. The dinner of course is held in a restaurant and is just a nice mixture of the gents that have been writing in the various threads in the site and a few escorts. It was a wonderful way to meet people and have a good meal. The next day I was brought to Oliver's party and got to meet even more guys that I have exchanged posts or PMs. It was all very low key. It's like a cocktail party with sun and deviled eggs. I met a few of the escorts whose names I recognized but there was no pressure to do anything. It was nice being able to talk with them and see that under the extraordinarily attractive exteriors they are just really nice guys. You choose who you want to talk to. After the pool party a group of us went to one of the hotels and had drinks. A group then went on to one of the PS bars but I did not go and I did not feel forced to. As I mentioned above, I stayed at the Hacienda and it is so private I hardly ever saw anyone. If you like that sort of atmosphere it was great. So please PM me if you have any questions. I have a feeling we are similar in our outlooks of what we are comfortable with and what we are not comfortable with. Snark loses its edge if uttered in person, and its purveyors tend to tone things down in real life. It can even become quirky rather than offensive. TBT noted that at the Hacienda he felt it was intensely private. At the Canyon Club and, I understand at Inndulge, things were far more social around the pool. People talk about everything and nothing. There are enough people there for the forum event that it becomes very social. You won't feel out of place, or judged for your on-line persona.
