A stripper in Florida was arrested for allegedly stabbing his boyfriend in the eyes and jamming a broken piece of wood down his throat following an argument.

Authorities in Key West said they were called to a home early Monday morning following a report of a domestic dispute, ABC 10 reports. When officers arrived they found 67-year-old Mark Brann with a piece of wood in his throat and suffering from stab wounds to his eyes.

He was airlifted to Ryder Trauma Center in Miami in serious condition.

Justin Calhoun, who works as a stripper, admitted to police that he attacked Brann, FL Keys News reports. He told authorities that he and Brann had gotten into an argument after he accused Brann of being a cannibal.

Police said Brann responded to the accusations by grabbing a gun and firing it, but no one was hit. Calhoun then grabbed the weapon from Brann and allegedly tried shooting him, but it jammed.

Authorities said that’s when Calhoun grabbed a pen and stabbed his partner in both eyes.

“Calhoun then inserted a piece of broken wood into Brann’s mouth, stood up, and then stomped on the piece of wood to lodge it further down into Brann’s throat,” FL Keys News reports, citing the arrest affidavit.

Calhoun continued to attack Brann, grabbing a dresser drawer and beating the injured man over the head with it. Calhoun said he then grabbed some money, a dress to wear, his backpack and “jumped out of the bedroom window while naked” before police arrived.

He was arrested and faces a charge of attempted second-degree murder. He’s being held at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office jail without bond.

A scorned woman murdered her ex-boyfriend by pouring sulfuric acid over him and laughed, “If I can’t have you, no one can,” a court heard Wednesday.

Berlinah Wallace, 48, threw the corrosive substance in the face of Mark van Dongen at 3 a.m. Sept. 23, 2015, and it ended up covering most of his body.

Twenty-five percent of his body was covered in burns and he suffered such serious injuries that he was left paralyzed. In fact, he could only move his tongue.

Van Dongen, 29, lost a leg, his left eye and most of the sight in his right eye following the sulphuric acid attack, Bristol Crown Court heard. Bristol is in southwest England about 115 miles from London.

Civil engineer van Dongen was left wanting to end his life and eventually successfully applied for euthanasia and died 15 months after the attack.

Wallace carried out the attack out of jealousy after the couple split up and van Dongen began seeing another woman, the court in Bristol was told.

In the weeks before the attack, Wallace carried out internet searches including “can I die from drinking sulphuric acid?” and searched for graphic images of acid attack victims.

Fashion student Wallace denies the murder and applying-a-corrosive-fluid charges.

Prosecutor Adam Vaitlingam said: “The defendant had bought a bottle of sulfuric acid, which she bought online from Amazon.”

“At around 3 a.m., as Mark was sleeping in bed, she poured the acid into a glass.”

“She then went into the bedroom and woke him up. She laughed and said, ‘If I can’t have you, no one will’ and she threw the glass of sulfuric acid into his face.”

“It covered his face and parts of his upper body and dripped onto his lower body as he moved.”

“Covered in burning acid, Mark ran out into the street in his boxer shorts, screaming for help.”

The court heard how the couple had a five-year relationship and lived together, but they hit the rocks when van Dongen began seeing another woman in August 2015.

Shortly before his death, van Dongen, a Dutch national, told colleagues Wallace had been violent toward him, and he “seemed genuinely scared.”

The couple appeared to rekindle their romance, exchanging loving messages promising to try to make the relationship work again on Sept. 22, the day before the attack.

Van Dongen sent Wallace a message saying: “I love you, I always have. I’m truly sorry for what I’ve done, we need to work on our relationship.”

“You and me are meant to be. I’ve always known that. I will treat you as you deserve to be treated. You are my princess.”

Wallace replied: “It means a lot hearing these words. You are the love of my life. God does not make a mistake in this. I love you with all my heart.”

The couple planned to cook dinner together when van Dongen returned to work, but that evening he went out to see his new girlfriend, Violet Farquharson, the court heard.

Wallace and van Dongen argued when he returned to Wallace’s apartment in Bristol at 10 p.m. and she told him she would stay in a hotel that night, the court heard.

But at 3 a.m., Wallace returned to the apartment and tossed a glass of acid over van Dongen, who was lying in bed wearing just his boxer shorts, it is alleged.

In the street, horrified neighbors took him into an apartment and got him to stand under a shower on the advice of paramedics.

Van Dongen was rushed to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, and asked paramedics to “please check that my girlfriend is OK” because he feared that Wallace would target Farquharson next.

Vaitlingam said: “They could see Mark had severe burns — they said it looked as though he had had gray-colored paint poured over him and that the acid had burned through the top layer of skin.”

“He kept saying he couldn’t see and asked if he still had eyelids.”

Police arrived to find Wallace sitting on the sofa in the living room and noted there was a glass beer mug on the floor next to a piece of cloth and what appeared to be an artist’s paintbrush.

Vaitlingam added: “The defendant was asked what the substance was that had injured Mark and she said, ‘Acid. I was using it to distress some fabric,’ and indicated to the glass, cloth and paintbrush on the floor.”

A police officer who accompanied van Dongen in the ambulance recalled how he screamed in pain for the entire journey, and radioed ahead to ask for officers to visit Farquharson.

Emergency consultant Dr. Rachel Oaten said van Dongen screamed, “Kill me now, if my face is left looking like this. I don’t want to live,” when he caught sight of himself in a mirror.

Van Dongen was kept in an isolated ward in ICU for six months before being moved to a burns ward, spending a total of 14 months at Southmead.

The burns covered 25 percent of his body and skin had to be surgically removed.

Van Dongen’s left leg was amputated below the knee and he lost the vision in his left eye and was partially sighted in his right eye.

He eventually regained speech but was permanently paralyzed from the neck down.

Van Dongen fell into a deep depression. Vaitlingam said: “Sometimes he said he wanted to live, at other times that he wanted to die.”

On Nov. 22, 2016, a care home in Gloucester — a city just north of Bristol — was found and it was understood van Dongen would require a “lifetime of constant and dedicated care.”

He told his father he wanted to return to Belgium and his father hired an ambulance to take him to the Maria Hospital in Overpelt, a small town near the Belgium-Netherlands border.

Doctors there confirmed he was paralyzed for life.

He applied for euthanasia, which was approved after three consultants examined him. Euthanasia is legal in Belgium.

It was decided this was a case of “unbearable physical and psychological suffering,” and van Dongen’s life was taken on Jan. 2, 2017.

In a police interview, Wallace claimed van Dongen assaulted her and she poured the liquid over him as a response to his aggression.

“She said it was he who had poured the acid into the glass, encouraging her to drink it with her pills, but that she had not realized it was acid,” Vaitlingam added.

“When she threw the contents of the glass over him, she believed it was water she was throwing.”

The court heard both Wallace and van Dongen were HIV-positive.

The defense said: “It is Berlinah Wallace’s case that that evening as he had often done before, Mark had encouraged her to consider drinking the sulfuric acid they had bought for clearing the drains.”

You know Sam if you wanna promote horrible criminal acts of torture - How about from 2 days ago

An African American father in Reno Nevada - Murdered his 14 year old son after the 2 argued over the son having a boy friend and being Gay. The boy had previously abused o the point where he no longer lived with his father and at 14 resided in his own apartment, The father sought the child out at his apt and after loud argument shot his only son numerous time - The child was pronounced Dead on the Scene. The Childs former Foster Mother told Police that the father had repeatedly said on numerous occasions "Better a Dead Son than a Gay Son".

Since the original report 2 days ago this MURDER has received no National Media attention whatsoever.

This is horrifying, heartbreaking and so disgustingly homophobic that I who doesn't generally support the Death Penalty would gladly torture the father to death after several long days - and dry raped by several Bike Clubs.

Sam would that provide enough horrifying sub human behavior to arouse your interest?

Disgusted and Angry and not even sure at whom!

I Duck and push him away and trip him with a crutch, he falls back almost onto the bed --- but he has caught my collar bone = I close the door and sleep in the guest bedroom

-- in the Morning in addition to the black eye the bruise on the neck/collar bone and chest are purple and hurt like hell and are the size of a lunch plate (Take Pics Mary of the bruises and send them out to friends telling them what happened - create a record don't be a double asshole).

Two hours later he came out of the bedroom and wanted me to go to brunch with him - like NOTHING Happened . . . . I told him if he ever touched me again he would leave the house in handcuffs or a bodybag or both. YES I KNOW --I SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE COPS!

wow.. after reading all of these...

My only big drama fight was :

BF: I am being stationed to Germany. I want you to come with me.

Me: What about DADT? How is that going to work?

BF: You can move to Germany, get a job, live off base, and I will come see you on my days off.

Me: I dont speak German.. how am I going to get a job in Germany, Im only 17.. Are you going to help me with living expenses?

BF: No. If you love me, youll do it.

Me: Im not sure if i can leave all my family and friends... that's a big commitment. What if something happens, I'll be stuck in Germany all alone. What if you get transferred to a different assignment?

BF: If you love me, you will do it. We will find a way.

Needless to say i did not go to Germany. He ended up convincing some 16 year old Filipino boy to do it. turns out he was cheating on me. bullet dodged.. but boy was he hot.. :p

When I first moved to a new city I worked the afternoon shift at my new job. It would end at 11 p.m. Once evening as I was getting closer and closer to my apartment building that I lived in with my long term boyfriend I noticed police men closing off the streets. Once close enough to see our building I saw firetrucks battling a fire engulfing it. All I could think of was that my boyfriend might be in the building. I could not see him so I walked around the block and when back on my street I saw him in front of our building. I ran to him and hugged him. He explained that luckily he was having drinks with a friend of his (who also happened to be standing there) at a French restaurant nearby. After an hour or two, the Fire Department allowed us to enter the building. They gave us a couple of black garbage bags and advised us that we should put what was salvageable and able to be carried into the bags. My boyfriend and I proceeded to our apartment and as we put various clothes, etc. into the bags he turned to me and said, "This is probably not the best time to tell you but I am going to leave you. I want to live with so-and-so (who was the guy he was "having drinks" with.) To say the least I was in shock. Even worse, however, it was the middle of the night and I had no where to go so we had to go to the new boyfriend's apartment (black garbage bags in tow) to sleep until I could contact one of my friends the next day to put me up. Believe it or not I chuckle about the whole thing today.

This is a good one... (video clip in link)- i guess the iphone X would have prevented her from opening up his phone...

http://fortune.com/2017/11/07/qatar-airways-diverted-cheating/

A Qatar Airways flight was forced to make an emergency landing on Sunday after a woman allegedly found out her husband was cheating on her while on the flight.

The pilot on flight QR-972, which was originally going from Doha, Qatar, to Bali, Indonesia decided to divert the plane to Chennai, India, after the passenger allegedly unlocked her husband’s phone by placing his finger on it while he was sleeping and discovered the news, according to the Times of India.

The woman, who according to the Times had been drinking during the flight, was removed from the plane with her family in the Indian city after getting into arguments with some of the crewmembers trying to alleviate the situation.

Even though the plane was diverted, officials declined to press charges due to a lack of criminal activity. The family later boarded a flight to Kuala Lumpur, where they later took a connecting flight to Doha.

The airline said in a statement to the Times that it cannot comment on the case because it would violate the passenger’s privacy.

From the first story

<<Justin Calhoun, who works as a stripper, admitted to police that he attacked Brann, FL Keys News reports. He told authorities that he and Brann had gotten into an argument after he accused Brann of being a cannibal.>>

Be interesting to learn more about that.

I'm guessing Calhoun was on bath salts judging from the rest of the story.

He slept with a married woman. Now he must pay the jilted husband $8.8 million

A Durham County judge awarded the owner of a BMX bike stunt show company more than $8.8 million from the man he said seduced his wife and ruined his marriage.

Superior Court Judge Orlando Hudson awarded Keith King more than $2.2 million in compensatory damages and three times that in punitive damages from Francisco Huizar III of San Antonio, Texas.

Huizar’s attorney said they will appeal.

In the civil complaint filed in April 2017, King accused Huizar of criminal conversation, alienation of affection, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress and assault and battery.

North Carolina is one of a handful of states that let jilted spouses sue people for criminal conversation when the person has sex with a married person before separation, and for alienation of affection when “genuine love and affection” has been destroyed by the person.

Some lawsuits have yielded significant damages, including a $30 million penalty in a 2011 Wake County case. Ability to pay is not a factor in compensatory damages, but a judge may consider it when levying punitive damage.

Keith and Danielle King married on April 3, 2010, in Durham, and they have a 5 year old daughter.

Keith King became interested in bike stunts when he received an Evel Knievel bike for Christmas in 1976. He later founded BMX Stunt Shows.

“Once what was only a dream became a reality as Keith made his mark as a professional flatlander, competing in both the 1997 and 1998 X Games,” the company’s website states. “What sets Keith and the King BMX Stunt Shows apart from other stunt shows is that to this day he still rides competitively in his own shows, as well as being an outspoken advocate for the sport.”

The website states the shows feature some of the top ramp riders in BMX, along with flatland riders, inline skaters and skateboarders.

However, King’s attorney, Joanne Foil, said the affair and an assault by Huizar cost BMX Stunt Shows revenue and an employee — Danielle King worked for the company — and required her client to spend more money on household help, child care, and counseling.

Huizar’s attorney, Cheri Patrick, said Huizar was not responsible for a marriage that was damaged before her client met Danielle King.

Keith King, who is 15 years older than his wife, controlled her access to money, manipulated her low self-esteem, brought porn into the relationship, looked through her phone every other week, put her to work without pay, and continued to schedule shows after she said it was too much work and she needed help with her daughter, Patrick said. He tracked her movements and insisted she keep her hair blond, and wear bikinis and high heels, Patrick said.

“This marriage needed one more blow before it was over,” Patrick said.

In testimony, Danielle King said she pursued Huizar and that the marriage had been unhappy from the first year.

Patrick also questioned expense estimates provided by Keith King’s experts and financial statements showing his company’s revenue dropping from nearly $400,000 in 2015 to about $125,000 in 2017.

In August 2015, Danielle King met Huizar during a BMX show in New York where he was working at an insurance company booth, according to testimony. He makes about $84,000 a year as a marketing tour manager, according to testimony.

Keith King had gone to New York with his wife and daughter, but he left to go to another show in Colorado.

“When he left, guess who moved right on in,” Foil said.

On August 28, 2015, Keith King saw phone calls to a strange number on his phone bill and called Huizar and asked him to leave his wife alone. He thought the affair was over at that point, Foil said.

But on August 31, 2015, Huizar rented a room less than a mile from the Kings’ home. He returned once in September, twice in October and three times in November, testimony indicated.

“And that doesn’t count the times where he met her elsewhere,” Foil said.

From mid-August 2015 to Dec. 10, 2015, Huizar and Danielle King spoke on the phone more than 6,187 minutes, Foil said.

In February 2016, Keith King gave his wife a spa weekend at the beach for her birthday after she asked for a peaceful weekend. She posted on Facebook praising her husband for the gift.

“Guess who the heck tagged along?” Foil said. “Mr. Huizar.”

“He just conveniently popped up,” Foil said. “There is no way that this marriage could have humanly been saved with the level of this man’s involvement.”

In another meeting, the King family was on a beach vacation around spring 2016 when Huizar rented a place nearby, according to testimony.

People have affairs and sometimes recover, but not with Huizar’s “relentless behavior,” Foil said.

In April 2016, Danielle King sought to rent her own apartment with Huizar’s help, but ended up not moving there and going back to her husband, telling friends she was going to try to make the marriage work, according to testimony. Keith King didn’t find out about the apartment rental until much later, his attorney said.

Huizar stood back when Danielle King said she wanted to try to save her marriage at least twice, but then she would reach back out and Huizar would eventually give in, Patrick said.

The couple did end up separating in January 2017, Foil said. Danielle King testified that they separated in August 2016 and court documents support that, Patrick said.

With Huizar’s help, Danielle King rented an apartment in January 2017, and Huizar was on the lease.

Danielle King told her husband that her parents had helped with the apartment, Foil said.

Danielle King didn’t tell her husband her apartment number, but did share the name of the complex and the building number, Foil said.

When Danielle King told her husband that she was having a breaker issue at the apartment on Jan. 20, 2017, he went to her apartment, knocked on the door, and Huizar answered, Foil said.

At that point Keith King realized that his wife had continued to have an affair over the past 16 months, his attorney said. Patrick said he knew of the affair months before.

Foil claimed King and Huizar were setting Keith King up, waiting to record the scene with their cellphones to support domestic violence allegations. When Keith King reacted to finding Huizar there, Huizar put him in a choke hold, court documents indicate.

In court documents, Huizar’s attorney contends that Keith King showed up uninvited, refused to leave “and loomed over Danielle King, causing her to cower in fear.”

Huizar removed him from the apartment to “prevent great bodily harm,” to Danielle King, court documents state.

The experience led to Keith King developing post-traumatic stress disorder, Foil said, pointing to previous testimony of one of Keith King’s doctors.

A district court judge found in another case that Danielle King had sought a domestic violence protection order to gain an advantage in a civil suit and to protect her lover from being sued, assessing $15,000 in sanctions for a frivolous lawsuit, Foil said.

After Keith King filed the April 2017 lawsuit, his legal team tried to serve Huizar more than 10 times in Texas and North Carolina and ran notices in newspapers in Raleigh and Texas, along with sending dozens of letters.

The clerk of Superior Court entered an entry of default on Jan. 3, 2018, meaning that since Huizar didn’t respond that the court was ruling in the plaintiff’s favor and the only thing to determine was the damages. Hudson upheld the clerk’s ruling in a Jan. 28 order.

Testimony started in the case in June, but was delayed over time due to court schedules, and resumed on Monday.

When Hudson issued his ruling, he said it was “a textbook case” of how not to end a marriage in North Carolina and the handful of other states that allow alienation of affection and criminal conversation lawsuits.

An Arkansas woman was arrested Saturday after telling police she shot and killed her husband because he bought pornography, officials said.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release it received a call around 2:30 p.m. from 69-year-old Patricia Hill, who told dispatchers she just shot her 65-year-old husband, Frank.

When police arrived at the home, located about 36 miles south of Little Rock, they found Frank Hill dead in a shed on the property. Hill sustained two gunshot wounds to the upper and lower body, according to police.

The sheriff’s office said that during an interview with Hill, she told investigators she arrived home and went to the shed on her property to confront her husband, but there had never been any physical altercations between the couple.

“However, Mrs. Hill stated that she disagreed with her husband’s purchase of video pornography via the television guide, which she canceled upon discovering the purchase, but Mr. Hill managed to place a subsequent order,” Maj. Lafayette Woods, Jr. said. “Mrs. Hill stated that she entered the shed and asked her husband to leave but he refused.”

When her husband didn’t leave the shed, Hill told investigators she went back to their home and got a .22 caliber pistol.

“She went back to the shed a short time later, where she entered and shot her husband twice, striking him once in the leg and once in the head,” Woods said. “Immediately following the shooting, Mrs. Hill stated that she returned inside the residence, where she returned the weapon and called 911 to report the shooting.”

At this point, investigators do not believe the incident had anything to do with self-defense, FOX16 reported.

Hill is currently in Jefferson County’s detention center on felony probable cause for capital murder in the shooting death of her husband without bond, and will stay there until her court date next week.

A lioness has killed the father of her three offspring, suffocating her mate by locking her jaws onto his neck at the Indianapolis Zoo in an attack not fully understood by zoo staff.

The lions had been held together at the zoo for eight years, producing three cubs in 2015, and zookeepers had never before noticed any aggression between the two, the zoo said in a statement issued on Friday.

The death devastated zookeepers and the cause may never be understood, the curator of the zoo said.

"They build strong bonds with the animals so any loss affects us all greatly. For a lot of us, it's just like a family member," David Hagan, curator of the Indianapolis Zoo, said in an interview.

Zoo staff were alerted by "an unusual amount of roaring" coming from the lion pen on Oct. 15 and arrived to find the 12-year-old female lion Zuri in a fight with the 10-year-old male lion Nyack, the zoo said in a statement.

"She had Nyack by the neck. Keepers came up and saw what was occurring and made an attempt to separate the two. But she continued to hang onto Nyack by the neck until he stopped moving," Hagan said.

A necropsy found that Nyack died of suffocation from injuries to the neck.

The lioness had been on loan from the San Diego Zoo as part of the Species Survival Plan managed by Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

The incident was under review but there were no plans to change how the lions would be managed, the zoo said.

One of their offspring, a 3-year-old female named Sukari, was in the outdoor lion pen at the time, while the two male offspring were kept in a separate part of the exhibit.

Zookeepers began separating the males earlier this year, corresponding the age they typically leave the pride, at 2 or 3, when they are considered young adults.

A woman was nearly run over in her own bedroom after an Ohio man plowed through the wall of her apartment in his truck, according to reports.

Dan Magnuson, 60, sent text messages threatening to “kill and/or cause bodily harm” to the unnamed victim hours before he crashed his pickup truck into her apartment.

“He said he was putting on his death clothes and that he was on his way, and for me to get ready and get mine on, because he’s going to kill me,” the woman told WLWT5.

The man believed he was in a relationship with the woman and became enraged.

The victim, who was not hurt during the incident, told cops she was praying in bed over the situation shortly before the crash.

At the moment of impact, she was on the phone with Magnuson.

Cincinnati police took Magnuson into custody at the scene of the crash at the Savannah Gardens apartment complex, FOX19 reported.

He was charged with felonious assault and menacing by stalking.

The hole in the side of the building was boarded up following the incident.

Magnuson has been arrested three times in 2006 in relation to assaults on women, according to court records obtained by FOX19.

He was charged with domestic violence in 2006 after he pushed a woman out of his residence and struck her in the face twice.

Two years later, Magnuson was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and criminal damaging or endangering after a bar fight.

He was charged with assault a third time in 2013, but that case was later dropped.

The victim of Magnuson’s road rage told WLWT5 that she’s worried about her safety since he is the maintenance man in the apartment complex where she lives.

First the Philadelphia Eagles lost the game, then this fan lost her temper

Police said Kirsten Gaskins, 31, shoved her dog in a hotel microwave Sunday in Philadelphia after she got upset over the New Orleans Saints’ victory.

After the 20-14 loss, Gaskins reportedly started arguing with her girlfriend about the game and became violent, according to police.

The inebriated fan allegedly ripped her partner’s earring out then struck her several times, Lehigh Valley Live reported.

Gaskins then allegedly proceeded to put the couple’s dog in the microwave and threatened to kill the animal.

Police responded to the scene to find the pet crammed into the microwave.

Gaskins was arrested on several charges including suspicion of simple assault, harassment and cruelty to animals. She was booked and released on $20,000 bail.
