Return of reviews?

It has been almost 7 months now and no word on return of the posting reviews to this site. I am just speculating but I am of the opinion posting of reviews, if it returns, may be a LONG time away. Does anyone have any other source for reviews that they trust?

The front page of the review site indicates 3-6 months from when that was posted, so that would put the predicted date of its return out as far as 15 Jul (six months after 15 Jan). There is still ample time for the reviews to return 'as advertised', so I would not despair.

Limited legal experience here but what if this became a private, fee-based service? Would the level of legal exposure be the same or worse? I don't pay much attention to reviews on RM, seems worthless to me and derived more benefit from reading these candid posts.

I doubt it, though it would make detection a little more difficult. A paywall wouldn’t stop the reviews being ‘public’.

Whether or nor the reviews return, whether or not they are watered down, whether or not RM reviews are useful, we will never have (I think) only one source of information for our hobby. We should always go to as many sources as possible to have different inputs, and PMs messages still are, in my opinion, the most valuable source.

Think of the level of subjectivity involved in our hobby, think of the countless variations of possible interactions between two men when they get together, in all the possible chemistry driven reactions and outcomes, we must rest on as many sources as possible because there is no way a single one is able to convey the diversity of human interactions.

 

Now, if what you want is a very detailed report of a meeting with an escort, I think you do not need a review. You need pornhub.com.

To attempt some form of answer to the alternative question: If the worst comes to the worst, and it never comes back, we could ask for a gay thread on the sex141.com English forum (http://forum.sex141.com/eforum/) to be created.

We would have to start from scratch, which is a real bummer, but there could be some advantages, for example it would be nice to be hosted in a country where all this is happening completely in the open because there are no legal issues.

We could also get a more international crowd. And they have a formalised review process.

 

Otherwise, try to get something setup at boytoy.com?

 

And finally, how about re-authorising reviews in this forum?

Daddy and the other members of the Mgt. are doing their best, let's give them a rest and see if the reviews come back.

 

I did suggest months ago allowing the reviewers to "clean" their own reviews out of everything explicit and send them back to the Mgt. I don't know how much work that would take. Daddy also has other jobs, don't be impatient (not directed to any of the folks I quoted) let's wait, he's doing his best.

But he hasn't been completely silent.

 

For instance, on May 4, in a thread in The Deli called "Daddy's Reviews," he encouraged reviewers to keep submitting to stay in the review queue and mentioned that there were then "350 reviews in the queue that will be used to start testing the new production backend as it becomes functional in the next few weeks."

the reviews will return soon -- within the deadline Daddy indicated in his January 15 message.......Daddy, who loves tinkering with software and programming, is revamping/updating the entire process, a much-needed change......as is appropriate, the new reviews may be edited and watered-down, I assume......as always, "411" inquiries in the Deli and PMs between trusted forum members remain available......
