Just curious, would this be the ultimate perk and oppurtunity? Or would the constant moving about of cities daily make it hard to set up appointments?

I'm meeting more and more guys who are flight attendants, and even though it's not something I could or would want to get into at this point in time...I do like travel and it's an easy peasy way to slash the costs of flights and hotels so seems like a non-brainer.

Anyone have any experience in this department?

See, that could be a link to get to the next level.

Now why wouldn't it be your cup of tea? I know it sounds good on paper but I would assume one would have to like dealing with crowded planes and though one could wear gloves, just the whole germ exposure factor seems kinda nasty.

I would just imagine the little things would irritate me: the guy who blows his nose with a farting sound while eating (a good excuse to avoid hotel breakfasts sometimes), the crying baby, the constant rise and drop in pressure during a stuffy nose....

Being a flight attendant is a very demanding and difficult job that takes the patience of a saint while being on duty for long hours. The turn around can be killer. I don't think the two jobs require the same skill set and do not compliment each other. Two attendants, 300 cranky, bored passengers, a six hour flight. You do the math.

Turn around or turn over, as far as people who are hired and quit?

Thanks for the insight. I'm just redundant of people saying Oooo, you'd make a great flight attendant, you should do it...while adding that 1 in 10 gay men on Grindr are also flight attendants.

Like I said it's something I've looked into and I'd actually probably qualify perfectly being tall and strong and such. But I'm not big on any form of public transportation anyway as the video above shows. Lots of cranky people. But, it does cross my mind and wondered if it would be a good fit for this type of work.

I like aviation though and spent hours playing flight simulators, but like you said both pilots and flight attendants have very demanding schedules. My interest returned when Denzel played in flight. But for years being a flight attendant never crossed my mind after being forced to watch "Turbulence" when I was a kid.

Agree. I know some flight attendants.

The image of the job in no way relates to the reality. When starting out, you'll only get a few hours notice of where you'll be going, and how long you will be away (up to days at a time).

It takes years before you can select a schedule where you know where you will be going, and that's only a month at a time. It takes decades before you can select a schedule that will take you to coveted destinations.

I know one retired porn star who was and is a flight attendant. But I don't think he ever escorted alas. I would have hired him in a heart beat. I've run into him socially from time to time and he still has that godlike body and a smile that makes all cares disappear. [swoon]

The travel part of being an F/A isn't nearly as glamorous as in the past. Now the overnights are timed with a very minimum of time off, typically just enough to stay legal with the FAA for required rest. If you throw in an hour or so appointment and its prep time you'd better be ready to drink a LOT of that horrible coffee they serve on the plane.

Your absolutely right. I worked with someone who is a flight attendant with American Airlines for 20 years. She got to the point where she only had to fly to Rio twice a month and that was her hours for the month. Newbies do a lot of short hop flights like LA to San Francisco. Also also what most people don't realize is their time counted and paid for are only for hour in the air.

One of my best flight attendant stories was a nice looking young guy in his early thirties who was "hitting" on a me and a woman I was dating at the time, on a return trip from Puerto Vallarta. The double entendres were non-stop. Biz cards exchanged, wink-winks and I said "well she and I are going to hang out for a couple drinks at..." nearby LAX hotel bar.

We did, he shows up, much camaraderie, a room was procured, all 3 upstairs for 4-5 hours of incredible fun.

It may have changed, but back in the day a fellow member of one of the lesbian/gay bands association said he had been disqualified from being a flight attending because he was *too* tall.

Yes, the constant moving would make almost impossible to set up appointments for later or for now.

Please try and see if it works for you, you sound very optimistic about the whole adventure.

I know of one very successful escort who did exactly this. Like you say, his travel and hotel are paid for, and he's constantly in a new city (fresh meat). Wouldn't be my cup of tea, but it seemed to work well for him.

Kevin Slater

And if we are thinking of the Same guy -- It seems that he has fallen in love and is retired from the world of escorting but is still flying

In the bad old days I had friends who were both SkySluts and Ground management with Eastern and Braniff and I did contract work for National Airlines.

So I always flew First Class with the Cutest SkySlut Boys -- who I invariably asked to join me for drinks either in the

first class restroom or on the ground or both! That was when everyone has bad sinuses = loose morals - tight pants and

full sacks! ahhhhhhhhhh
