I agree that 7 sessions seems a bit generous. If you were thinking that the sessions would be hour-long encounters, maybe frame it as "guarantee of 6-8 hours of time spent together" per month, and if you add simple benefits (like some ongoing texting/email/snapchat connection) it definitely still feels like a bargain.

It sounds great. On paper.

 

What happens when your client wants to see you the night before a big exam? What happens when you have a date with the cute guy from class and your client wants to see you? What happens, if you have more than 1 of these arrangements, when more than one client wants to see you on the same day?

 

The flip side is that you might have a part-time job anyway and might have to balance work and life.

 

I'm working under the assumption that you're paying (probably a lot) for your education. That's an investment. I'm also working from my own experience of college and grad school - time is tight and precious and balancing a social life, school life, and the need to make money takes some focus. I don't know your exact circumstances but I do assume you want to do well in school and make your investment worthwhile.

 

I think it might be wiser to go to DC and continue to work as you have. I have found DC to be a wonderful city full of great men ready and willing to hire. Perhaps you might fall into an arrangement that works nicely and is something like what you describe above, but I caution you against seeking to commit yourself to something before you're 1000% certain you can follow through.

From a client perspective, I also question the practicalities. I'd expect and understand that at times you'd be busy, but it would get irritating regularly trying to negotiate specific times. And, at least in my case, there's the pressure to use up all the sessions you've purchased if they pile up towards the end of the month. The membership fee at my last gym included 4 personal training sessions a month, which I thought was a great idea at the time. I loved working with the trainers when I could manage it, but between travel and days where I was on a deadline, had other plans, or was just feeling like a slug I frequently found myself rushing at the end of the month to use the sessions, often losing them. It caused me frustration and I wound up quitting that gym.

 

Especially in DC, where a lot of guys you might want to establish a relationship with might have very fluid travel schedules and/or unpredictable work schedules, you might be better off working to arrange some form of those relationships as one-offs with clients after you've already established them as regulars.

I think it's good to try. But I also agree with a lot of what @Eric Hassan says here too.

 

As a client, I've tried this 2-3 times, with undergrad students. Long/short term successful batting average was zero. "Life", studies, regular social activities tend to crowd the escort's time. The situation, the obligation, and the client can become a "burden".

 

The client starts to sense this, and it can tend towards not being fun anymore.

I took the advice of Ryan Dean and phrased it 6 - 8 Hours Guaranteed so no worry about how many sessions a month. I'll let the hours roll over to the next month. Was really only looking for 2-4 people to do this with, so I have lot of flexibility with it.

 

Ideally on paper seeing the same 2 - 4 people and couple of hourly appointments when I have the time would be ideal for school. Will find out how it goes.
